Quadruple taxes for politicians, multiply taxes for corporations and those with over one million dollars in yearly income. Also, pass laws that restrict the amount of money people can use in political campaigns to approximately $150,000 max. Also, shove more money into social programs and education.

If I was President of the US.... hmm... OK

1.) I'd solve the whole Religion vs Gay Rights issue: No one can discriminate against any LGBT etc. people in public cervices, workplace, transportation, business etc. By applying for and holing these jobs, you are agreeing to a nondiscrimination clause. They must be treated as if they were any other person. I would then break the link between religious ceremonies and lawful certification, aka, any religious marriage/ceremony is no longer a binding law document. Only after your chosen ceremony do you get the binding legal document at a government location. This way, religions may continue their ceremonies as they believe, but at the same time, anyone can get a legal marriage document regardless of who they want to marry.

2.) Immigration reform: The US was built from immigration. As it stands, it is easier to come illegally than to become a citizen legally. I would make it easier for those who enter the US legally with the desire to become citizens, but at the same time, make sure that they are contributors to our society and economy with govt. programs to aid in this transition. For those that are already here illegally, if they are currently contributing to society and economy, the same doors will be open to them, but it will be mandatory or else they will fall under the more strict illegal immigration laws explained next. Those who enter illegally have no quarter. No path to legal citizenship will be open to them. Any business, private, small, or otherwise, will be fined HEAVILY for hiring such workers (equivalent of CEO pay per year per illegal worker). All illegals will be registered and deported. Repeat offenders will be forever barred from citizenship. Repeat offenders who enter with malicious intent (drugs or otherwise) will be subject to capital punishment if their country of origin refuses to take them back.

3.) Initiate a Flat Tax of 12% with no exemptions for the upper percentile and more for the middle and lower class. Having large business owners find ways to pay no taxes but leave poor citizens to sometimes pay upwards of 20% of their living income in taxes is asinine.

4.) Decrease prison/penalty for non-violent, non-property crime and change the focus of these to community service. Use the saved prison cost for rehabilitation, mental counseling, poverty cervices, and education.

5.) Raise education funding: Education in the US is a joke. I would increase the educational requirements to become a teacher to at least Masters, but highly increase the pay of teachers. I would decrease focus on how to take tests and focus more on what students need to know. I would increase focus on charter schools and give funding opportunities or tax exemptions for home schooling (one of the parents must have a master's degree equivalent education). Public colleges and state universities will be tuition free for students who keep to a modest level of academic standard and only pay for classes they repeat due to inadequate marks.

6.) Split minimum wage: There will be two minimum wages, Job Entry and Minimum Living. Businesses will be requires to register job positions as job entry, otherwise the positions will be required to pay Minimum Living wages. Job entry positions are meant for adolescent employees, such as high school students, who are working to make money not necessarily to live off of. These jobs are those that do not generally require previous experience, such as a fast food worker. Minimum Living wages are for jobs generally held by adults and tend to have at least some form of previous experience. Job Entry wages will be between 7$-$10 depending on the cost of living of the state (similar to current minimum wage), and Minimum Living wages will be from $13-$17 again depending on the state.

there is more I'd do, but I'll stop here.

Any one on government assistance gets sterilized. Heavy taxes on families with more than two children mandatory military service for two years for all able bodied citizens.

There is a lot of issues in this country, many of which I have opinions about. Funny thing is that I'm not going into politics. I'm going into artificial intelligence.
