Visuals recently released for the Extra Game film! We've got Kuroko, Akashi, Midorima and Murasakibara rocking their VS jerseys.
Spring 2017 seems sooooo far away though...

March 2017 apparently this comes out. I think I'm going to be out of luck seeing it in Australia but oh well. Hopefully Crunchy can get it one day.

I wouldn't be surprised if Madman licensed it for a DVD release. No chance of a theatrical release after how badly Yowamushi Pedal The Movie did in cinemas here.

I'm not surprised it bombed sadly, you have to be Dragonball or Pokemon to get anywhere here.

Besides the first few movies in the Pokemon series, the rest have made a pittance in comparison.

Most anime movies released by Madman earn sufficient amounts to justify releasing more titles theatrically. Your Name. has performed rather well here, earning a little over $1 million AUD at the box office. Most sessions for Love Live the Movie were packed out. While the two Naruto movies earned nearly $500,000 AUD combined.

There are a couple of reason why Yowapeda performed so poorly:

1. While sports oriented titles perform strongly in Japan and Asia, they aren't as popular in the West.

2. Madman released the main TV series on Animelab after it was screened in cinemas. Before this, there was no legal avenues to watch the series.

This was an excellent movie to cap off the franchise. Kagami and the Generation of Miracles will be missed
