Always check for spiders.
especially the 16 legged variety.

I love the fusion technique in DBZ, and it sure is funny when it goes wrong!
But it seems very unrealistic that it could happen IRL, though it could be awesome!

Maybe I should give it a try, next time I meet an anime freak at a party....?!

Not sure, we've come a long way with technology so who knows what more we are capable of?

Fused spiders would be sweet.

Yes, as a new source of limitless, renewable energy. The drawback of course is that the subjects die.

Already there.

We have the capacity to wire artificial hands and eyes directly into the brain and replace significant portions of the skeletal system with 3D printed titanium. Living ears have been printed with fully integrated electronics, artificial hearts have been around for over a decade.

To date, individual humans have only benefitted from single technologies, but the technology does exist to almost completely rebuild a human. The results would not be pretty, and are no where near 100% effective, but that will change rapidly.

Most 3rd world countries have already passed laws regarding the creation of chimeras using human DNA.

If not, you could bet there would be labs splicing human DNA into animals for a wide array of research topics.

I mean naturally occurring ones.
