I understand that you just started middle school, and hate it how your parents force you to go to church,

(Which explains about 80% of the anti-church posts here... )

(but that is no way to talk about people. About the pope; I myself am not a fan of him. He is too liberal.

There have been very few times in history that "Pope" and "Liberal" have been used in the same sentence.

Francis seems to be living up to his hippie-saint namesake, and I like watching the fallout...A pope who has come out in favor of recognizing global warming seems to have made a lot of enemies already, but just cements the connection between Green and spirituality.
This pope would make a pretty darn good New England Lutheran, if he wasn't...y'know.

lol but idk that i really "feel" anything about it, just someone influential visiting the US this happens quite often lol. i mean i like him and think he's done a lot of good but he's just making his rounds like pop stars and politicians do lol

A pop star, you say? Through the blasphemous power of the internet, I give you: Iggy Pope

Personally, I'd feel far more inclined to care about his visit at all if I were Catholic, or he was going to play Lust for Life. I'm also glad his tour isn't coming near me. From what I've seen Philly's streets are a mess due to the preparations.

a lot of people in the United States don't even like their own president so why would you worship this guy from another country. I just think wherever youre from you should take up a religion more localized. #NoMoreCrosses

Yes. The most popular religion in the world that extends to nearly every nation on the planet isn't localized enough... It's not like there are many Catholics in the U.S. or anything... Why would the most influential man on the planet need so much protection? You'd think some crazy people have tried attacking previous popes before. Sounds like a fantasy, right? Let's not pay any attention to such a powerful and revolutionary man making his first ever visit to the U.S. Obviously he's just here to go sight seeing and take a selfie on the statue of liberty.

Yeah, they throw around the middle-schoolyard gags, but every time anyone hits back with jokes about their throwing loudmouth paranoid tantrums at the headlines and their old Catholic-school teachers, they suddenly get on their Butthurt High-Horse Saddle and say "Now, now, must it always be personal, why can't we have a SERIOUS DISCUSSION of the theological issues in the history of our civilization?--That's just an example of the persecution our views get in society!"

For the past two days the Washington Metro has been running the smoothest I have ever seen it.

We all knew it would take an act of God to fix the system.

A real Christian shows up and conservatives are like.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy[a] angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

First of all the pope is a lgbt support Marxist traitor. He is not a Christian, he is trying to destroy Christianity.
Conservatives care about people, if not more than liberals do. I think we should help those who NEED help. Not those who are too lazy to get a job.

Thanks man! I needed a laugh today and your absurdity really helped. I'm sure you say that line frequently but swapped out "Obama" for "Pope" this time around. You do realize true Christianity is more liberal than you think, right? This Pope is more Christian than you at least because I don't see him spewing such vitriol. He isn't perfect, of course, but he has been espousing beliefs and stances that are more Christ-like than previous Popes and the lot hiding in the Vatican. Love, forgiveness, tolerance, taking care of the poor, etc as Jesus did back in the day. If he's trying to destroy anything, I'd say it would be the bigoted wolves hiding in sheep's clothing calling themselves Christians and walk along the same line as you. Personally, as a Catholic, I am happy to see him here and glad to see him here as well as the messages he continues to preach.

But again, thanks for the laugh though. I don't know about anyone else, but I am surprised find Trump is on these forums apparently and watching anime.
