I'm always hooked on good animes especially if the love story is really intriguing. Yeah harems are fun to watch and its all in good fun "usually", but i really enjoy the animes where they don't drag the story to the very end and then you get to see the mains love interest finally kiss. I also know there's animes that aren't like that ex: Sword art Online. but id like to know your opinions and your favorite love interests.

I really loved the romance in Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in Summer).

It was so sweet and heart warming, and it actually went somewhere. That relationship will always have a special place in my heart.

Gotta go with Steins;Gate, Chuunibiyo, Clannad, Kokoro Connect, and Bakemonogatari. I'm sure there's others but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Absolute favorite I think would be tied between Steins;Gate and Clannad.

My current favorite is Bell Cranel and Aiz Wallenstein from Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon, but id have to say that my overall favorite would have to be from SAO. I can't help but fall in love with a story line that isn't really based on the love story at first but starts to evolve into one over Kirito and Asuna. I felt like i finally had an anime where they established a relationship in a good way and continued to find ways to complex it to keep viewers interested and satisfied at the same time. Shout outs would have to good too Witchblade, Claymore, Naruto, and Black Lagoon!

Mirai Nikki - A beautiful story that shows how far a girl is willing to go for the guy she loves.

Yosuga no Sora - How two siblings can be passionate towards each other without being annoying like in a certain other show. *cough* Oreimo *cough*

Cory in the House - A better love story than Twilight.

Chuunibiyo. Familiar of Zero. Pet Girl. Niskeoi (even though no one has gotten together, it's still adorable). And of course Toradora.

Your Lie in April is easily my favorite for making the romance feel..well, real.

I recently watched Lovely Complex and thought it was surprisingly really good. Some of the situations that occur later on gave me a massive headache but the comedy and characters made up for it.

I find that ultimately the best love stories in anime, and in fiction as a general rule, are those that aren't the prominent premise of a story. Rather something that develops during the progression of a different entire story. To focus entirely on romance seems to create a stale environment that ultimately bores me. Now of course there are exceptions, something like "I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying," does well for itself because of its short length and the point that the characters are already in an established relationship.

So to say a few, some that might be unconventional or even not even explicitly stated throughout the story, would be Rock and Revy of Black Lagoon, Ed and Winry of FMA: Brotherhood, The Major and Batou in Ghost in the Shell. These stories may not be our most conventional love stories, in fact, in two of the cases, there isn't even one point that the viewer can say that the two outright confess any feelings of romantic interest, and in fact that's what makes the stories more interesting as a result. It's something to search for, something to look between the lines of conversation to see.

I glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed the love story in Mirai Nikki.

Other love stories I have enjoyed are Bakemonogatari and Toradora.

The ones featured in the Kagerou Project; particularly Takane and Haruka. While Mekakucity Actors fell short in some respects compared to the rest of the project, I feel like it did do a great job of presenting their relationship.

I also really like the romance dynamics in Hyouka. More than a lot of other series that have romance as one of their main foci, Hyouka feels natural. Rarely do anyone's actions in it seem contrived: the characters and their various romantic hang-ups are impressively cohesive and believable.

We need more yanderes in anime. It's the strongest form of love.
