Do you ever go through dry spells not wanting to watch anime
Posted 9/23/15
I have been trying to get into anime again, but I can only watch shorts! Like teekyu, (is there any anime like that? ty ) But whenever I watch a long anime, (20mins or longer) I just think I could be studying, or working. and it just depresses me and I don't enjoy it. Too be young again and not worry :/

Eh, I'm through a dry spell because nothing is exactly appealing to me. Watch Gintama and that's it. Keep meaning to pick something up but I can't find anything and I find myself watching Rick and Morty or adventure time instead. I'll start watching when something exciting comes up.

As for shorts, miss monochrome, and tono to issho spring to mind. Both on crunchyroll who would have thought!!!!!

Currently struggling to watch anime, play SIF, and learn Japanese. Rotating between two a day but on an anime day it's even to the point where I only watch 4-5 episodes a day and then lurk the forums (like I am now haha) and listen to music.

I just transitioned from a gaming console to pc though, so its probably more of a rut in the sense that I'm just trying to figure out all the things I want to do on the internet/the frequency I want to do each thing in.

Also for shorts. Ai Mai Mi, danchigai, the Comic Artist and his Assistants, Aiura, RWBY(second season gets bumped up to 12-15 minutes if I recall correctly though), and Comical Psychosomatic Medicine. I haven't watched a lot of these in forever but IIRC I'm pretty sure they're all under 12 minutes/episode.

I feel the same as you.

I have so many episodes to watch that I want to watch from a few anime series but I don't feel like watching them at the same time.

Omg yes, I just look at the list of anime I want to watch and say to myself "maybe tomorrow..."

When you enter anime world, everything is amazing - story, characters, animation, the feel that is unique to anime. Sadly, slowly but surely, the novelty wears off, you get accustomed to tropes, to plot twists, to cliches that anime is full of and it doesn't grab you as much as it was before - because you feel that you have already seen it somewhere else.

yeah been like that a yaer now haha except Gintama but once in a whlie ill sit down and watch a bunch of episodes at a time

i think its mostly bc i am more busy now so its just harder to sit and watch 30 mins of a show than just reading 5 mins worth a story or checking a blog

Can't remember the last time i completed an anime.
I usually get through a half episode when i try.

I'm leaning more towards light/visual novels lately

It really depends on my mood, time of year and all that. In the summer I'm more active outside and gaming so I tend to watch very little anime. In the winter I tend to binge watch a lot of anime. The good thing about anime in general is if your short on time, you can always watch a few episodes and it only takes up an hour, which leaves plenty of time for other things.

For shorts on CR: Senyu, Teekyu, Ai Mai, Mi, Himegoto, I cant understand what my husband is saying, Comical Psychosomatic Medicine, AIURA are all shorts that I know of, I'm sure there are more.

Right now for me haha. I haven't seen a single episode for like a month, I just don't feel like it. I have so much school work that when I finally do get a break I hangout with my friends. I jump on these forums and watch shorts since it takes only 5 minutes or so to do so.

Depends on the season, the amount of free time I have, and how much I can access good internet.

The net at home is total crap. I've given up on streaming anything and I even have trouble checking my e-mails sometimes. If I'm actually staying at my house most of the time, no anime. If the season doesn't have anything that interests me, no anime. If I have no time, obviously, no anime.
