Oh it's fine... it happens more often than some people think... When I was a freshman I knew a girl in my class who was dating a 20 year old. That's kind of pushing it though...

There are laws that protect you if you start dating a minor (under 16) as long as you were also a minor when you two began dating. This became an issue for me as a girl I was with was four years younger than me. She was very tall (5'8) and mature for her age, but I didn't find out until I was in college that she was four years younger instead of two years younger. I always found it odd that she never wanted to talk about school, but I figured it was because she didn't like school... not that she was in grade school while I was a junior in high school.

senpai_is_baka,

There is nothing wrong in liking someone who is younger than you. Since you and her have not made any contact, just in passing, I need more data from you to give you proper advice if this is what you really want.
1) What is the age gap between the two of you?
2) Does she know who you are?
3) Are you in some of the same classes?
4) Do you have the same hobbies?
5) Do you hang around the same friends/associates?
6) Do you like her because of her physical beauty or does she have a kind heart?
7) The type of friends she associates with, are they nice? Are they mean? Bullies? Etc.

Simply, if you are okay with the above, just walk up to her, preferably when she is not with her friends and introduce yourself. Mention how you thought, for example, her poetry was nice, how it was so intriguing that you needed to let her know. However you wish to initially introduce yourself, don't over do it. That just freaks girls out. Don't tell her she is the most beautiful girl in school, because she'll think you just want sex. Some girls like to be told this, but most don't. Then leave. Next time you pass her, say "Hi, Elizabeth.", for example, "How was your day?". If she is a good person, she will open up to you and appreciate being friends.

Good luck!

I thought the title of this thread was the name of a new anime series.

There's nothing wrong with it. In my old high school, there were several upperclassmen/underclassmen couples and it wasn't weird.

If it were an anime series it'd probably be a harem, with a tsundere, loli, boob chan and a boy who's either blind to love, or a pervert and doesnt know it.. xD just my take on it :P

How much younger we talkin'?
It really depends on the age of the older person vs the underclassman.

That could be worse. I'd say if they're both mature enough to handle it. I've seen larger differences. Apparently one of my friends who is 16 is dating a guy who is almost 30, so I'd say 19 and 25 really isn't that bad a gap. It really depends on the maturity of the partners themselves though, because the older partner could be more immature or the younger one could be more mature. Not everyone's maturity accurately "matches" the maturity expected for their age.

Very good points, I appreciate your input. Having said that...

Seems I'm 25... and you're 19.... I know the difference doesn't bother you.... wsup

It's probably what, a 2-4 year time gap I'm assuming? The time gap between my parents is really large, and there is literally no problems at all. You should be fine...

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as that age gap is appropriate and there won't be any problems.
