Wow. This is all so very sad. Sure I watch cartoons (American, Canadian, European, Asian, and etc) but I do it for amusement. Its sad to see people take one of my past times and pervert it into something so sad. Those nerds should do the world a favor and hide their shame.

No you are fine. A true wapanese would never learn the real language.

Well, that's good. I may have had to give up on my ideals had it classified me as one. Thanks for the reassurance!

yeah i know!
i have like these japanese OBSESSED caucasians in my school
they keep saying their ethnicity is japanese cuz they know some japanese phrases, ate rice at some point in their life, copy harajuku clothing style, and they have asian friends.
it gets on my nerves sometimes.
Especially when they ask almost every asian person or asian thing weather it's japanese. They neglect all other asian races.

they are clearly just influenced maybe because of anime.. but hey, my mom has japanese blood but shes not that obsessed... maybe because its already in our blood so we dont care...lol

but wow.. caucasian japanese? now thats something wierd.

i even find caucasians studying martial arts wierd... it just dosent fit. if you look at it... lol...

unfortunately, I have to take care of them since I'm the VP... they're really... immature sometimes, mostly narutards and bleachfags...
it sucks because I'm the... only asian in that club... =_=

they're really creepy... I don't like getting hugs from them ¬_¬;;

Wait, so it doesn't make me wapanese if I plan on taking a class to learn Japanese?

You're saying this on a site filled with people who are pretty much Wapanese.

I have a couple wapanese who seem to be magnetized to me for some reason, because I look like "a cute anime girl" to them and because I'm part Asian (Middle East/India though, not East Asian). These wapanese deform their appearance in every which way to look like their favorite anime characters (ex: plucking off eyebrows and drawing them in so they look thin like an anime character, branding their faces with "Naruto whiskers"). Apparently, they also lack personal hygiene/grooming, try to dress Loli/anime (which doesn't work cause they're damn ugly), have no friends other than other wapanese and cannot sustain a conversation about anything that is not anime or related to Japanese culture. They play ninja at lunch, they waste $500 dollars per cosplay costume, try to call me by anime names, worship every Asian they see and completely butcher the Japanese language. I'm almost ashamed to like anime. Liking anime as a hobby (not a life), I've always watched it or read the manga every once in awhile and I always draw in that style. Needless to say, I rarely talk about it and have a million other interests too, but I guess I've got the wapanese glued to me for good. T_T

Nope!

Oh, how about if I plan on going to anime conventions? I don't cosplay though >.> (even though I don't see anything wrong with good cosplays, they are just really not that common)

I know a few weeaboos. A lot of people at my school who like anime I would call weeaboo. Can a black or mexican be weeaboo?

edit:

I should add, i'm not even that into anime, I just like the atmosphere.

wapanese people annoy the hell out of me. if you like something, you don't need to be so overenthusiastic and flaunty with it that it bugs other people. Because honestly, nobody care. Obsessing over Japanese stuff won't make you Japanese or Asian. But yeah, CR is filled with these kind of people >_<

Going to an anime convention doesn't make you a weeaboo, just an anime enthusiast. Yes, a black or mexican can be a weeaboo and I have met a few of those in my lifetime.

Nope, I'm not Wapanese but they certainly haven't done anything to annoy me. In fact, it's cool they're interested in the Japan culture. O_O
