Time Loops; Time Tangles, to time Knots.

The unavoidable punishment to time travelers everywhere. Where one Time Traveler meets up with one end of the loop and must continue till the mutual return is brought.

But how does a time Tangle work?! well I hope you brought your coffees you mute monsters because we are about to explain the first 10 lessons of Quantum Derailments For Dummies (Abridged by idiots).

The Quantum Time Tangle works when entry A is Attempted to be stopped by Entry C, and entry C is attempted to be stopped again by entry a, who is attempted to be thwarted by b,c,d;A,B,C,D. Now the Quantum Time knota is when the derailment gets so messy that there is no clear exit or entrance to the hole derailment of a situation.

So how do you stop a Time Knot?!!!! You stop trying to stop the time loops and accept that whatever final end to that ground hog mound of a situation is permanent (hopefully)

So TL;DR: What is the reason for your time loop and how messy is it getting (keep it clean folks.)

To end the time knot, you go back to your birth and kill yourself. You will never exist, you will never go back in time, and the world wont mind a nobody like you dying (unless you were to become a large figure ex. President).

My time loop would be me going back to stop my friend from offing themselves. I would probably have confessed and maybe had a gf to this day. I dunno how messy it would get... Other than the fact my kids could possibly be a bit odd (by American standards). All in all I don't see how it could go so wrong... Unless I became the World Ruler, initiating World War 3 with my Queen by my side... Assuring mutual global annihilation. Tactical Nuclear Explosives anyone?

Are we going with logical or just full off RP here? I could sure as hell spin off an Epic Poem to rival that of the Odyssey. I prefer to think logically though.

Fun food for thought: You went back in time to hunt a dinosaur that was going to die on its own in about 1 day. You, on the way step on a butterfly. This butterfly was going to feed a dying family of spiders, who in turn was going to, in time, breed enough to wipe out a species of insects. These insects now run rampant, making other species go extinct. They go back to Modern Day Earth to find every living form of life different, as the entire ecology of world is now different. Due to evolution going differently, no time machine was made in the time you warp to. Now you're stranded in a new world with no way to return. This was off some random book or story I read eons ago.

That sounds like "A Sound of Thunder" but with a more messed up ending.

My time loop is very schrodinger. It once made some form of sense, but has evolved into something that actually disproves the initial reality timeline. I still haven't figured out how to beat the Demon.

Has anyone seen the Primer? The entire movie is recurring timeloops and you're just left to guess which version of each character comes from where...

Killing Hitler would be a very bad idea, his incompetence cost Germany the war.

That said: if I had access to time travel I would mostly use it for tourism. Maybe one jump to win this weeks lottery (after which I would no longer care about money), afterwards I would use it to passively observe ancient civilizations and the great events of history as a nameless face in the crowd.

I would definetly use time travel to become wealthy to have money to continue traveling so investing in start up companies like Apple and Microsoft. Maybe also lend Google a lot of capital to begin as well

Wasn't the same scenario in a Simpsons' episode?

There are an infinite number of futures.

The actions of yourself and others determine what future you are going to.

To keep it simple, today you get up and you decide to take a walk in the park, on the way there, you get hit by a car and die.
There is also a future where you didn't get hit by the car.
There is also a future where you didn't go to the park at all, and it goes on and on.

So you manage to go back in time and kill Hitler, from that point, there are now an infinite number of futures.
Because you killed Hitler, you are prevented from returning to the future you came from, and instead go back to an alternative future.
You find that future to be worse than the future you originally came from and go back in time to stop yourself.
By whatever actions you take in attempting to stop yourself, if you were successful or not, you will find that you cannot go back to the future you originally came from, nor the alternative future you came from to stop yourself, instead, you will go to a third future. Depending on your success in stopping yourself, it might be close to the future you originally came from, but it won't be the same.

In other words, if you change something in the past, and then try and change it back, you will never be able to return to the future you came from.

Just putting this here...

So I'm guessing we're talking about a dynamic timeline, then? You kind of lost me with the abcd / ABCD stuff too.
