I love noodles but when it comes down to chinese food I vote fried rice alllll the way. My local place does it so good: fat pieces of shrimp, chicken, egg, BBQ pork -- and none of that peas and carrots nonsense. It's seriously heaven.

If I plan on using chopsticks, noodles. If I am using a fork, fried rice.

Rice, as I don't like oily/greasy noodles.
Though overall I eat more pasta than rice.

Depends on my mood and the noodle type. I like the golden brown thin egg noodles and tend to not like thicker stir-fried noodles.

I don't like soggy fried rice or fried noodles with bland centers. Lots of places don't do it right. The rice should not be too clumpy and the noodles can't be greasy.

It sort of depends on what is in the dish, but in general I prefer stir-fried noodles. I'm just more of a noodle person than a rice person, but there are some dishes that are meant to be eaten with rice rather than pasta. That said, I prefer fried rice if it has the right ingredients in it, which would be any vegetable except for peas, chicken, and egg. But on an overall level, I am quite into stir-fried noodles and that's what I usually order when dining out at Chinese restaurants, though there are occasions where I get stuff that tastes amazing with rice, but not so much with noodles.

The stir-fried noodles. I'm very picky with fried rice.
