dude, Ihsahn?!?!?!?!!??!?

Ihsahn is a meme?!?!!?!?!?

but yeah, this blows, even if they did fuck GANGSTA up (it was too soon to adapt that anyway)

Michiko & Hatchin is fabulous (and is doing really well on Toonami), Samurai Champloo and Samurai Flamenco both owned too.

So far I've seen all these reports today speculating that they're going out of business due to bankruptcy and not once have I heard any verification of the fact. It's very possible to file a restructural bankruptcy to belay all expenses until you get back on your feet. I, myself, hope it's just a restructural bankruptcy with a short shutdown to put business affairs/debts/assets in order as it would mean less people out of jobs (a limited layoff vs. a complete shutdown). Hopefully, they get out of this and get a chance to come back better than ever.

Very sad I watched a lot of their work ! Hit or miss they did things their own way!

I think Gangsta wa affected as they want to give it a good close point but was hit or miss!

BTW no matter what with the lack of material to do a S2 / the author (she has an illness and takes a while to write )

It was good where they stopped because what's coming makes S! look like pre-school / The pequel is even bloodier

The main reason why the reports are saying that is because it's much harder to escape from bankruptcy in Japan. As I understand it, you need to have a solid plan for solvency to qualify for restructuring protection, or else you're basically forced into liquidation.

I'm no expert however. I'm an accountant, not a lawyer, and certainly not one in Japan.

I guess Samurai Flamenco was too exquisite for some people

Ah, that I didn't know. Well I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best .

I'm worried for Genocidal Organ though, I'm still really looking forward to seeing it.

I'm somewhat worried as the director mentioned before that they've been working on it for awhile and the film was announced quite a bit ago as well.

Not sure how I feel about this in the end.
Manglobe's shows have been a hit or miss lately.

Is official. They are dead. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-10-01/manglobe-anime-studio-files-for-bankruptcy/.93611

I hope that doesn't mean postponed indefinitely.

ugh shame to have seen it confirmed earlier today that Manglobe really was done. A studio that tried to not go down the fanservice route (as much as possible anyway) goes bankrupt, while I imagine studios behind 80% fanservice series are doing great. -sigh- welcome to the new b.s. generation of anime watchers ("show me tits! show me tits!" mindset).

Series I liked that they did: Deadman Wonderland (was still hoping for a season 2, guess that won't happen), Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, Michiko to Hatchin, and Gangsta (guess no OVA to wrap up the story now).

Yeaaaah...I don't think you have that right there, even taking a quick glance at a past article by ANN
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-05-27/anime-studios-success-calculated-based-on-10-years-of-disc-sales/.88558, beacuse looking at the least successful tier studios I recall more "tits" anime from them than I do the more successful tier ones (if anything the upper tier does more "moe" (which ever way you want to define that, since anything can technically be moe, lets just use a generalized version)).

Although I do want to ask what is being defined as fan service, just sticking to the rudimentary "ass&tits" version I assume, not like forced yuri, BL, or anything outside the scope of physical descriptors, which just panders to w/e scope they are going for, and illicit some titillation from that viewer....b.s. generation of anime watchers uh, isn't that just what every generation prior calls the next (bad typo said previous pre-edit)

Crimson's very good at being wrong.

It helps if you just dismiss everything he says, as all of his posts are fueled entirely by his biases and assumptions, not logic.

Shoot, I was really looking forward to Genocidal Organ. Too bad it's being postponed. Would've been really cool to have all 3 movies out in the same season.

Now I feel like I have to that I've put off from watching/finishing.
