> saw the change in op post. to put it simply, we work for the greed of few lol jk

kevin4 actually has a funny quote you might like as his header on his profile.

[personally, i don't really think of it as work. I could do it every hour of the day. i think the future's looking good in that more and more companies will be happy to have their people work the time they like and where they like. and you really don't have to "slave" for hours. i don't even think of debt as something i should fear as long as i can have a feel for the market]

Cause if you don't you'll be lambasted by your peers and society as a whole. Also it quite predominate that you have to work extremely hard to get to the top of the "mountain", to get one over the rest of the world, when in reality there is no mountain to conquer and I question why would you want to get one over the rest of the world. I think a lot of people approach those things thinking, "If I just get to this point, or get this or that all my problems will go away" when they probably won't and if they do they'll just be replaced with newer things to deal with. I think as a society we should do less but be more efficient in what we do, do and be content with where were at now.Now I'm not advocating that you shouldn't set goals, that's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that maybe we shouldn't neglect/repress parts of ourselves in order to achieve our goals and perhaps we should not rush towards our goal as if were sprinting for the gold metal and most importantly set realistic goals that are more orientated towards ourselves and not pleasing/impressing others.

It dose suck. I mean when you've been working for 17 years, as i have, you do start to feel a bit over it.. long way to go though.
Funny i used to do lots of overtime and work 6 day weeks , now, just doing a normal five day week seems hard.
Iam working in a place that's about to go under though so morale isn't high, plus i start work painfully early.....
Sometimes it dose make you wonder whats the point of it all?
I'd be bored shitless if i didn't work, you meet good people through work, of course you cannot survive without money, at times i like work, it dose make you appreciate your free time more but god dam, weekends are so dam short!
Hard to have a social life, plus hobbies, plus relax! i imagine even more so if you had kids n stuff.
