Everything involves money, that's why.

My job only require me to work 38hours a week, but I love my job so I do it all the time. In the past though I've worked 60+ hours a week for a job I didn't love and actually hated, I did that more because somebody had to do the work... and I could do with the extra hours when I worked retail. It always comes down to money, but associationally it's because it's your love... look at how people have a high habbit of dying shortly after retiring.

Last time I checked, I work close to 100 hours in 2 weeks. Didn't even realize it, it just was like that. Even if everything was free, I'd still work. It's nice to have a life outside of the house and be social with adults in the same field as you and just talk "shop".

Some of us work to get what we need, and some of us work to get what we want.

The problem arises when we work and cannot get what we need.

It'll work itself out.

I like work. Unless I don't like it, but then I wouldn't stick around long to continue feeling that way~!
I think of it all as a game and I want to beat the game my way! ╰(✧∇✧)╯

Personally i can't handle more then 20 hours of work per week without breaking down and going neurotic and pissy on people.

TOTALLY AGREE. THE MONEY!

they've got the system rigged.

if you want to earn more, you have to spend more time working.

meanwhile they raise the cost of living so what you earn isn't enough to live on.

so you have to work even more hours than before.

if you ask for higher pay for the time you work, they cut your work hours. so there's no increase in your earnings.

isn't that cruel.

Probably has to do with the living expenses in the US. A lot of other countries' citizens don't work as much but are able to live comfortably, whereas we seem to need to work more and more here just to barely keep up with the expenses.

For the money. That's probably why I fuck up at job interviews, because that's the truth but nobody wants to hear that xD
