Redwood used to be a lively trading spot and a place for travelers to rest. However, since the Mauve Crown claimed it, trade has been more restrictive because all deals must be overlooked and approved by a Mauve official. Because of this, some of the traders left.

Population: about 100

(Two days after the squabble with those people) Taki finally reaches the town and heads straight for the town hall to look for documents on "Her" (Unknown person) only to find nothing. He decides to ask around to see if he can dig up any information. A unknown girl with long black hair and a sword identical to Taki's looks down at him from up top a worn-down building. Taki feels someone staring at him and turns to look but sees nothing. (The girl is gone) After a while of asking around and getting nowhere fast, he goes to a rundown shop to sit down and get somethings to eat.

Victoria safely arrived at her house without anyone noticing her. She tried to alert her father of the tratravelers but he was in a meeting, so she put a note in his office. this mess will probably go smoothly, she thought.
Still, something about those travelers made her worrisome.

Shockingly enough, the caravan arrived much earlier than expected. Francis woke up and quickly prepared himself for the day. He quickly took to the driver's seat and led the caravan through the town gates.

It was still the quaint little town he remembered; only difference was there were less shops open and the people are far fewer. This greatly concerned him. "Alright, boys and girls, here we are! Welcome to Redwood Town." As he said this he thought about his itinerary for the day. He has to make contact with the hidden market and restock on a few questionable items and goods. He just has to make sure he wouldn't garner the attention of the annoying people that own the town.

Aoi looked up from where he was helping himself to some food (hey, Francis has said he could! Plus, he wasn't even eating that much). He looked around the town as the caravan passed through. It was rather small. In his other main dimension, Aoi had been the mphead of military for a country with thriving, bustling cities. This was a big change... However, a pleasant one considering how congested the cities had been and the fact that the nobility, which he'd joined the ranks of when becoming head of military, was so sensationalized and publicized that whenever he'd walk through he'd hear gasps and whispers about him; from comments on how he dressed differently from everyone to rumors that he wasn't entirely human- which he didn't deny were untrue. He'd never met his mother, and he could only assume she hadn't been human considering in his home dimension magic didn't exist and one day he'd just jumped dimensions.

Francis stopped his caravan at a viable spot on the town square. He tied his reins and proceeded to the back of the caravan where Aoi and Squall were, "Alright, this is it. Redwood Town." He turned his gaze to Aoi, "Do you need any help? You may still a bit weak or something since the last time we talked; or maybe you need something. This part of the world is slightly different than the rest after all." He asked as he sat down on a crate filled with quality blade, his eyes never leaving the form of Aoi. He could tell the kid has been through a couple of things that could break a lesser man. But in this part of the world, stuff tends to be a bit wild and untamed. So here he was, extending a helping hand. He wasn't sure whether or not this would bite him in the future though.

As the caravan entered town, Durako already suspected that some interesting individuals had entered as well. The path they came from only connected to the wastelands, and no sane person would travel through the wastelands. The only people who would do that were either incredibly stupid or well-equipped essence hunters. Maybe adventurers. Either way, some intriguing individuals have entered.

Luckily, he hadn't gained much reputation in these parts. Just a... well, a shady fellow whom most would not approach. Who would approach someone who wore all black and clearly looked dangerous, anyway?

He admired the poisons he bought from the ' market ' in the town. Sometimes the greatest alchemists are in the smallest towns. That much he had learned. Maybe I'll watch those folk who arrived in the town for a while he thought. Well, I need to complete this... contract, first..

A man approached him, and Durako proceeded to hand him the necklace he requested. Why he wanted it stolen, Durako had no clue. He didn't ask the reasoning behind such menial tasks as stealing.

Right then. He sat down against the wall, staying close to a side-alley, and waited for the new folk to get off the caravan.

Ruika walked through town bored out of her mind. She opened a small bag of candy and plopped one in her mouth. Looking around she saw multiple people.

"I'm feeling a lot better now, thank you. I'll just eat a bit and I'll be just fine." Aoi said. He sighed. Could he tell Francis his story? Could anyone really believe that dimension jumping was possible? He knew Squall had been a bit skeptical... Well, he would give it a shot... "Honestly, I'm completely lost here. If I told you my story, would you promise not to think I'm crazy?" he asked before beginning.

Squall wakes up and stretches be fo hoping out of the back, "the bounty board or hall would most like be towards the town center" he thinks to himself. "Be careful in towns aoi, there are often pickpocket and thrives watching the gates to prey on travelers." Squall notices the man in black watching them "can you be more obvious, who wears black in a town in the wastes, were its people would wear more bright loose fitting clothes to help deal with the heat

Francis took note of Squall giving Aoi a helpful but outdated wisdom. Some towns are considered bandit towns anyway; everyone of them are considered thieves and outlaws. But that's a story for another time. He turned to Aoi and wondered if hearing the boy's story was worth it or not. Instead of turning away, he took a leap of faith and nodded. "Alright, kid. You got me interested. Let's head to the tavern and grab a bite to eat and tell your story. I also need to inquire a few things there anyway; so it'll be catching two birds with one stone."

Before he left, he called upon his essence and brought out a large eagle from his Menagerie. The was larger than its fellows, with a large wingspan and menacing talons and a very sharp beak; and also, there were two notable features that makes it stand out. Its left eye was shut due to a scar running down the area and its beak was covered in cracks and a couple of scars. This bird has seen way too much battle. "Arcturas, guard the caravan." The bird gave a majestic caw before taking up position by the top of the carriage.

He then turned to Aoi after that was done, "Alright, let's go."

Aoi jumped out of the caravan, landing steadily on his feet when he hit the ground. "Alright, then, lead the way." He looked at the eagle. 'So this man can summon animals, eh...?' he thought. Even though the eagle was scarred, he still thought it looked majestic. It was quite interesting... Aoi was starting to like this place.

Equal reluctantly followed them, figuring if any of his party were still alive that's were they would be.

Durako yawned, having noticed Squall's glance towards him. Ah, well. I'm not trying to blend in anyway. I'd think I would be pretty obvious. No, if he wanted to eavesdrop properly, he would do so. But at this point he was just, well, listening in.

Impressive. Ability to summon animals, huh? Wonder if that's limited to just animals... With a power like that... There has to be some weakness to it. Probably.

The eagle was interesting, but why was it scarred? Perhaps the man was an essence hunter? Perhaps a trader? A mercenary? He had yet to figure that out. Of course, the man wasn't so interesting as to make Durako want to approach him directly.

That sheath... a gunblade? This group was certainly out of the ordinary. He could tell how they were able to wander through the wastelands, with gear like that. Besides the fellow with a gunblade and the gentleman who could summon creatures... A person wearing strange clothes. Sure, Durako was a wanderer, but those clothes are something he has never seen. Intriguing.

Hmm. These people are interesting. Perhaps I will follow them, after all. he thought, If I stay near the alleyways, then I should be fine. He has nothing to lose at this point, as he is merely a wanderer; a lost soul searching the lands.

Victoria was on a stroll through town when she saw the outlandish people she ran into before. They all continue look so out of place, she thought, perhaps I should direct them around town.
