Francis led Aoi through the streets near an almost worn out building he remembered from his travels. As the pair approached the establishment, he noticed from his peripheral, Squall following them. He also noticed a dark figure shadowing them as well. He chuckled softly at the pun, the man wore black so much he now resembles a moving shadow. He paid little attention to the man as he spotted VIctoria approaching them. He didn't need someone else directing them through this town, which would probably stray them from their desired path.

He grab Aoi's arm and led them both inside. He turned to him and whispered, "Stay close and don't attract too much attention." He said as they both approached the bartender. Francis leaned in closer before he brought out a large Blood Ruby and slowly slid it towards the bartender. "I'm in need of a private room, the most secure room you have. Also I'm a family friend of Oswald, I head he was deathly ill and I wish to pay my due visit before he leaves us for good. If you can direct me to his home, it would be much appreciated."

The bartender slowly took the ruby and nodded his head. He walked out of his station and led them to the second floor. As he and Aoi followed the man, Francis leaned in close and whispered to Aoi, "You know, Oswald isn't a real person, but it's a name of an obscure shop here that no regular person can enter." He said before he chuckled as they both reached the room. They entered the room before telling the bartender to send up some drinks and a warm meal.

The room was spacious and silent. A table can be found at the center and a nice comfortable couch could be found. When the bartender left, he slowly sat down on a couch and gestured for Aoi to do the same. "Well, let's hear your story lad."

Aoi sat down on the couch, took a deep breath, and began. He told his story from his drinking, abusive father and how when the man had attempted to kill him was when he'd first dimension jumped, to becoming head of military in another dimension, how he'd never met his mother but suspected she wasn't even human... Everything. When he finished he sighed, sat back, and waited for Francis' reaction.

Is it some kind of illegal trades bazaar?" Squall qlutches the hilt of his gunblade "this merchant better not try to sell us or he'll regret it"

After the group had gone into the building, Durako had circled around back and did what he did best. Eavesdropping. His hearing was already fine-tuned, but it became even sharper when he turned to a shadow.

He was already wearing black, so in the darkness behind the inn he looked not much different. The flickering of black, like dark tendrils moving in the wind. He was what they called him; Stolen Shade. A black form in the darkness. What he looked like was not important at this time, though. His ears sharpened, and the world of sounds became broader. More specific, more beautiful. He quickly focused his attention on the sounds coming from the inn; they leaked from the building's framework. Immediately, Durako recognized the voices of the fellow in strange clothes and the gentleman who could summon animals.

After eavesdropping for a while, he learned their names. Aoi and Francis, huh. he thought. He also heard something about Oswald not being a real person, but a bar fight broke out in the middle of that sentence, and thus he couldn't hear the rest.

After the barfight, though, the bar was reasonably quiet. He could likely assume from his hearing that they were on the second floor, somewhere near the end of the hall.

Staying outside, he moved nearer to the room where they stayed. Luckily, this side of the building was quieter than the other side. The bar only extended so far, it seemed. He listened intently, hearing some things and not hearing others. One of the sentences that stood out was when Aoi said he was suspicious of his mother's humanity... Which would mean that he is quite possibly not human, Durako thought.

Francis fixed Squall with an annoyed look, "Calm down kid, I'm not gonna sell you. Yes the shop is illegal, yes they sell some unsavory things there, and yes they really sell slaves there; but as a merchant, times are hard that I am forced to enter these unsavory and illicit trade businesses at the cost of my morals." He sighed softly as the bartender came back with their orders and left quickly. He took the pint of beer and drank it. "So please, before you judge, please look at the bigger picture here."

He then turned to Aoi and wondered about his story. The boy was dealt a bad hand by life. Born to an abusive home, discovering his power due to pains of death, fighting in wars that would break a lesser man, and never meeting or knowing about his very own mother. Truly, this boy--no man--had been through a lot. "In my long time as a merchant, I have heard a lot of things; but this is one of the most strangest things I have ever heard. But I can't help but believe you. A liar wouldn't put too much effort in making up such a story. That or the person is inexcusably crazy. But the way you told me your story, the pain and weariness you conveyed...I know for a fact that it's real. I tip my hat to you, sir; for staying strong even if you have been beaten black and blue by the darkness."

Aoi nodded. He was relieved that Francis believed him. He didn't know what he would have done if he hadn't. "So, what now?" Aoi had nothing to do, so he might as well find something. "I assume you have business to take care of, Francis, so I guess I should leave you to that."

Taki notices as a lot of people enter the worn down shop. He recognized the man's voice, who was talking to the bartender. He didn't care too much however and went back to eating. After eating he starts to take a walk around the town and notices a bird up top a caravan. He stares at it for a while, then goes into his back pack and pulls out some bread. Taki tosses it to the bird and the bird eats it. Taki continues to walk around, thinking he might leave the town soon since he can find any information on "her". He thinks he'll try one more round in the town before leaving though. He'll save it for tomorrow though and he goes to an inn named "DeAso" and asks for a room for the night, although the sun is still out, it will be sunset soon.

Francis looked at Aoi and contemplated for a bit. After a few minutes he nodded, "You could come with me. It will get lonely after a long while traveling you know. Even if I have business to take care of, I wouldn't mind you tagging along for the ride." He finished with a small smile on his face.

He then turned to Squall and sighed. This guy is way to perceptive for his own good. "Since I was born, my family were merchants by day and hunters by night. With them, I discovered my talents. Both as a merchant and as a hunter; and how good I was in living both worlds. That's all I am going to say." He noticed the blasting caps on the floor and pointed at them. A smirk forming on his face. "Looks like you dropped something, hotshot."

"Alright, then, sure." Aoi said. He had nothing better to do, so why not? "Being a merchant would be much... well... different than being head of a military...." He'd had so much work and no privacy, and he'd always been fighting... It had been exhausting. "What's it like?"

"Those are empty" puts a dozen empty caps on table "I was caught in a bandit ambush and was barely able to fight them off, plus my group is either missing or dead. Which bring me to my next question, if come upon any info on them or the bandits can you inform me or send the person to me. I would gladly pay you for any info on the latter."

"Well being a merchant is both exciting and annoying at the same time. Exciting because of the interesting people you'll get to meet and the unique pieces you can come across. Annoying because of the bandits and the unwelcome competition on a given market. But I love my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything else."

He then looked at Squall before a smile emerged from his face. "I'll be selling you bounty contracts, eh? Well, that's a first; but I'm not complaining anyway. It's a unique market, untapped even. Alright you have a deal there, young man." He said as he reached out with his hand to seal the deal.

Reluctantly shakes his hand, squall never understood why people had the need to shake another's body part, but he was too tired to be rude "I'll contact my groups hq and have them make the necessary arrangements to pay you in nickled steel agreed?" Squall stand up and looks at him "which way is this ozwald and what ever passes for a bounty board in this town?"

"Ah, Oswald is a moving shop and only merchants are privy to the knowledge of where this shop really exist. The bartender doesn't know so don't bother asking him; but he knows a couple of other merchants that could pass however it's gonna cost you more than you can pay. It's an open secret after all. Only us merchants are allowed to know exactly what it is. As for the bounty board, there's one by the town square if the people that supposedly own the place haven't changed the town's layout." He said as he slowly ate his meal. After a while, silence dominated the room. Francis couldn't help but sigh in contentment. Finally a moment of peace and relaxation after a hard day's work.
