(Few minutes earlier) Taki was sitting in the lounge at the inn. It had 3 tables and a couple of seats. He Noticed a girl walk in half asleep (Nera) that he'd never seen before. She gets a room and heads straight for it. Taki just sits there for a while until the girl comes back down in a swimsuit and leaves. Taki heads back up to his room to get some rest for the night.

"Eh?" He was too drowsy to recognize the fellow from earlier. "People call me Stolen Shade," he said, "Anyhow, I wasn't trying to sneak up to your caravan..."

He was too caught up in his thoughts and drowsiness now to talk to anyone properly.

A cloud that had been lingering over the moon, full tonight, drifted away. The moonlight spread over the scene like water flowed into a river. After he had answered the man's question, he started to walk away, lit by the light of the moon.

"Then what were you doing?" Aoi interrogated. The man seemed way too suspicious, he needed to know what his intentions were. After all, if he had anything malicious planned, he would have to be ready. The man seemed drowsy, after all, so he could definetely take advantage of that to find out information.

"Taking an evening stroll..." he said drowsily.

Durako glared at the man from under his hood, for a second. Another cloud began to move over the moon. As if assuming what the man was thinking, he said:

"If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead. We wouldn't be having this conversation."

"Life is kind of strange... It takes a long while to create a piece of life... and it takes an instant to take it away."

"Satisfied?" he was now facing Aoi.

Francis heard a commotion outside. Though the voices were muffled, he could make out Aoi having a heated conversation with someone outside. He slowly got up from his hammock and walked outside.

The night was beautiful when he left the confines of the carriage. The glowing moon bathe the area in its soothing light. The stars were twinkling brightly, like jewels of the night sky. He spotted Aoi speaking to a black clad man. He noted the man seems to be a bit drowsy due to the lateness of the evening. As he approached the pair, he slowly came to realize something was familiar with the man. When he was only a few paces from them, he was suddenly struck with realization that this was the spy that followed them. How could he not recognize that voice and the name Stolen Shade; the very same Stolen Shade that earned the ire of Titania.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? Aoi, it seems you have found an interesting guest." He turned to Aoi, his eyes were shining with mirth. His gaze turned to Stolen Shade before he spoke again, "Hello, Sir Spy. We meet at last. Oh, don't be alarmed, I'm not here to add you to my collection or take your head for intruding on the business of Oswald's Redwood Branch. I'm just here to talk; and maybe offer you a hammock and a nice warm meal. I wouldn't want to ruin this...romantic night. Ah, such a beautiful night indeed, noh? The ethereal marriage of shadow and light." He purred as he gestured around them. It was indeed a beautiful night. Personally he doesn't want a fight breaking out. It was a peaceful evening and it would be an inconvenience for all the parties involved if they fought here and now...well fought at all, to be exact.

"Why would I trust you? Last time an offer such as this was made, someone attempted to cut my throat whilst I was sleeping. Besides that, I'm practically wanted here now." he was suspicious, as he always was when people started getting friendly. After years of travelling alone, he had gathered pessimistic and cynical views within himself. Perhaps that was because most of the people he held any interaction with only wished ill will upon others or harbored greed within themselves. No matter what it was, the fact still stood. His beliefs offered no slack in situations like this. There was likely very few a place where he was not someone's enemy or feared by someone. At least on this continent.

Not that that was their fault; he killed, stole, spied, and occasionally acted as a form of mercenary. It was only natural that everybody would have negative feelings of hate or fear towards him, even criminals. Anyhow, enough of the inner monologue.

After speaking, he paused for a second, looking up at the silvery-white light of the moon, and glancing around at the light the moon shed on the scene. "You are right, though. The moon is beautiful this night. It makes me yearn to see the northern lights once again.

Nera awoke before dawn. For the second time that night, she had dreamt of her family. As she was crying, she thought," I might as well get up, seeing as I can't sleep." She slowly got up, changed into her day clothes, and checked out of the hotel. "How much do I pay you?" Nera asked the woman at the counter. The woman silently pointed to a sign that gave prices based off of various times. She would have to pay 10 coins. "So expensive for a few hours!" Nera protested, but she had to pay, so she gave the lady her money and left.

"What a scam.." she muttered as she walked around to the stables. "Good morning, my sweet baby," she whispered as she led Fotia out of the stable. " Did you sleep any more?" Nera asked. Fotia shook her head, as if to say no. Nera chuckled. "I got plenty of sleep, how about we ride outside of town for a bit." As if to agree, Fotia took off. However, Nera had barely sat in the saddle, so she fell off, and Fotia left without her, not knowing his mistress had fallen. "Fotia, wait!" Nera screamed, as she was temporary paralyzed from the fall. Nera suddenly thought,"Wait, she doesn't know her way around. She could get lost!" She started crying again, and as she gained movement, she started running after Fotia."Fotia wait!" she cried, before she tripped and fell on her face. As she lay there crying, she curled up into a ball, to protect herself. "I'm, I'm so... sorry, Fotia! Co...come back!" she bawled.

Aoi was eating breakfast. He hadn't been able to sleep that night thinking about that stranger, and how he'd been spying on them. Aoi didn't know how he hadn't noticed that they'd been spied on; had he just been to caught up in his interest? Just then he heard the sound of horse hoofs, and looked up to see a horse going through town, except it didn't have a rider. It seemed lost too. 'That horse sort of looks familiar....' he thought, then remembered that it had belonged to that girl he'd seen before. 'Where is she...? he thought, putting down his food then jumping out of the caravan. He walked over to the horse and stopped it. "Now, let's find your mistress...." He began leading the horse back to the hotel he'd seen the girl go to.

As Nera calmed down, she realized she had to look for Fotia. "This would have never happened if I hadn't been so stupid!" she thought, as she slowly got up. At this point, Nera was a mess. Her shirt was now brown from the soil. her pants were ripped, her hair was messy, her face was also covered in soil, and she had gotten a bloody nose. " I probably look like I came from a battle." she muttered, tying to cheer herself up. She started to walk around, but she had no idea, so she just shuffled around, hoping to find her. Many people gave her strange looks, or looked away, trying to ignore her. After a while, she gave up, went to a bench near where she had fallen, laid down, and cried. She suddenly stopped. She realized something. Her face changed. She started running, fast, to Francis's carriage. But then she stopped. "Oh what a fool I am, he can't help me," she thought, sitting down once again. "The only thing I can do now is pray."

Aoi walked through the town. He got some strange looks just walking around with a horse, but I'mIt didn't bother him. He was used to getting strange looks. He kept walking until he found what looked like the girl sitting on a bench, crying. She was a mess, but it was her. He walked over to her. "Excuse me, I believe this is your horse?" he said to her.

Nera gasped. It was Fotia! "Thank you so much, sir!" She hugged him tightly, without thinking.

"Why should I kill you?Killing you wouldn't bring anything good to me. Titania, on the other hand, she has the right to do so; since you invaded a private meeting, but not I. Plus you are interesting. Why should I end something as interesting as you? That would be wasteful on my part and annoying for yours." Francis said as he turned around and walked towards his caravan. He turned his head to the side and said, "So I say to you, Peace. If you accept my offer, just come by the caravan. If not, then so be it; I'm not going to force you anyway."

As he walked towards his caravan, he saw Aoi at the distance with Nera. It seems the poor girl was distraught about something and little Aoi came to her rescue. He chuckled at the sight.

Suddenly, Nera realized what she was doing. "Oh, I'm sorry sir..." She moved away, about to mount her horse. Then she saw Francis. "Oh dear, did everyone see that?!" she thought. The she put it aside, and rode to Francis. "Sir Francis..." she quietly asked,"When do you plan on leaving?" "Well, Is it possible, could I come with you? Just to your destination, I don't want to burden you." Then she blushed. "I don't mean to pressure you... but it would be a great honor to go with such an experienced traveler. And I can always pay you back for any expenses."

"Of course you can come, Nera. We'll be traveling to the Central City soon; but for now, we rest here in little Redwood Town. Also payment is not an issue now, you don't have to pay for anything; but, be warned the journey would be a long one. Almost a week in travel time, so I suggest you prepare both your companion and yourself properly." He said with a smile. Indeed, it would take a long time to travel to reach Central City. However, the opportunity far outweighs the irritating journey through the wastes.

After a few minutes of his internal musing, he turned to the two and said, "I'll just be by the caravan taking inventory if anyone of you need of me." With that, Francis left the pair and heads off to his caravan. He needs to see how much supplies does he have and if possible, buy more for the long journey ahead. He also needs to check up on his children, his faithful wolves, if they are alright.
