I forgot to wear a belt one day and get a whole dress code violation. Not as bad or as dumb as others probably, but it was seriously just a belt.

I remember I used to need a belt in middle school, I got in trouble for that too, I also got in trouble for wearing my hood as well, lol.

Ah, that actually happened to me in middle school lol. I also remember we couldn't zip our jacket zippers up but one time my friend forgot that and zipped her jacket up then one of the teachers made her take it off entirely. The dress code was strict....

Same for my middle school, though I usually ignored the dress code, I hated having to wear dress pants and cargo all the time, and dark blue/grey, lol. I hated dress codes.

Dress pants and cargo pants? Eek. I just wear khaki shorts, jean shorts/jeans, and a polo shirt. Then, of course, the ever-annoying belt.

We also had to wear belts and button-ups, I don't mind button ups though, I hated that they had to be specific colors however and that they had to be the school ones.

Same. We can only wear certain color polos and it annoys me because I went to a different school last year where I could wear royal blue shirts but I can't wear the, at my new school, so I have those shirts just sitting there in my closet useless now. I honestly wish dress code didn't exist. I mean, what's even the point of it? It's just extra money parents have to spend on clothes and dress code does pretty much NOTHING for safety.

I've never gotten in trouble at school but I was in Spanish and a kid got detention for singing the alphabet song in Spanish... Like what? Were in Spanish and a kid starts singing the alphabet song and that warrants a detention? Man, I have no idea what was up with that, he did not even get a warning or anything just flat up got in trouble.

"Because not everyone can afford the clothes you have, so dress codes keep others from not feeling as bad as they would when they see nice clothes. It's called being considerate of others, now everyone dresses the same so there's nothing to be worried about!"

That or, "To be professional" both are bs either way lol.

That's sooooooooooo stupid, I remember one time I got in trouble for helping a chick pronounce a Spanish word correctly, she was just struggling too hard for me to sit there for too long.

I got paddled in 5th grade for passing a note in class. Corporal punishment is still a thing here in the south.

The vice principal had to explain to her detentions weren't for screwing up an assignment only for being a nuisance (who wouldn't stop being one) in class. She wouldn't listen despite him explaining to her that he was in fact her boss.

Was your teacher a bitch outside of this incident by any chance?

According to my Vice Principal, the only reason she even had the job was due to being the Grand-daughter of the head of the State School-board.

Maybe I should've specified that we're allowed to have our phones out, even if we weren't allowed to, lying about getting assaulted by a student is still stupid lmao.

Yeah, stating that you're allowed would of been better. On the other hand, there was an entire class there, no? Her lying would of been useless as there's 15+ kids to state otherwise.

I was in junior high, my backpack was confiscated by this stupid vice principal because apparently having a backpack thats navy blue was against the dress code violations. She then made me use a trash bag for the next 8 hours of school. :|

While that was denied, apparently standing up quickly can be considered threatening for some retarded reason, and that's what really got me in trouble, I just thought that part would be used to emphasize how much bullshit the entire situation was lol

My wheelchair broke in high school and I briefly had to use a rental scooter to get around. The horn on the scooter sounded exactly like the BLEEP censor noise when someone cusses on TV, so a friend of mine and I were mouthing vulgarities while pressing the horn. My English teacher caught us and sent (only) me to detention. Meanwhile, another kid in the class yells "Fucking bastard" five minutes later and the teacher didn't do anything to him. Justice.
