I was debating on not going to my job anymore since I already have a new job and I really hate the one I am in even though I gave my 2 weeks notice >_> but I wanna know how it went for others who just left their job on the spot after dealing with too much of bs from people or whatever the cause is or you just decided to stop showing up xD

Nope. Sense of honor and integrity is too strong.

Honestly. It's a bitch. Had a chance today to knock an easy $100 off my rent if I told my landlord I did the weeding in the back or if I did anything else that needed to be knocked off. And it wasn't just telling him. He specifically asked like 3 or 4 times.

I answered honestly that I hadn't...

And that's not the first or only time I've fucked myself over to be honest and to keep my word to the best of my ability either.

Kinda pisses me off, but it's just.. there's VALUE in maintaining personal integrity.

Nope, but people do it all the time where I work. It kinda makes everyone a bit PO'd at first, but everyone seems to forget about it over time. I have been working there for 3 years so I have seen a lot of people do it, but if I were to bring up their names to managers I doubt they would even remember who it was...

At least in the professional world, just leaving for another company with no notice has a very negative impact on your reputation. You may be forgotten by the individuals you left, but you'll be forever logged in a database somewhere as a "do not hire". And not necessarily for the company you left.

I once texted my boss that I wasn't able to come in. The next day they posted that month's schedule.. I wasn't on it. Turns out I texted the wrong number and they thought I just didn't show up and quit... I ended up being fired.

If the place treated me well I give them the 2 week notice. If I hate the place I show up let them know this is my last day and don't come back at the end of my shift.

I'll give two weeks if I'm coo with my immediate supervisor or GM but if he/she is one of those type that have that "Your beneath me" attitudes then I'll wait until its a shift where I work alone and disappear on them without a word to anyone.

Yeah, a bit like Migayla's story.

I just started my new job and was working only on the weekends at my old job. Then I wasn't on the schedule one weekend; and when I called about my schedule the next weekend, they said I had quit. Never looked back

Personally believe that's really rude...
At least send them an email...

I've never personally done that. Can look bad later down the road with others jobs.
Though someone at my the job the other day called the boss, said they quit and they're not coming in again and just hung up.

Yeah

I volunteered at a after school program. You can work anytime but to get the monthly stipend, you had to come at least a few days every week. I was just suppose to go there to fulfill my community service but then I ended up staying. I stopped going after I graduated.....without a notice. I ended up working there again the following summer. This place was pretty lenient, I wouldn't suggest anyone to just leave without a notice.
