Aaaand, one more for the weekend, the English dub of Nagi no Asukara, A Lull in the Sea, is now available for members in the US and Canada! Free members can watch up to episode 6, and Premium members able to view the entire series.


Long ago, humans lived in the sea. However, some humans defied the Sea God and moved to the land, creating the division that now exists between Shioshishio, the Sea Village, and Oshiooshi, the village of the land. Now, four middle school students from the Sea Village, Manaka Mukaido, Hikari Sakishima, Chisaki Hiradaira, and Kaname Isaki must attend Mihama Middle School on the land. While getting used to their new lives, these four and their new friend from the land, Tsumugu Kihara, learn how true bonds of love and friendship can overcome any separation.

We've got another title announcement coming today with Kagewani! Episode 1 will be launching at 6pm Pacific Time, and starting from episode 2, new epiosdes will be available on Fridays at 8:50am Pacific Time.

Kagewani will be available to Crunchyroll audiences worldwide except for Asia.


An original series that’s part of the Ultra Super Anime Time, Kagewani is being directed by Tomoya Takashima and written by Hiromu Kumamoto, both of whom have had plenty of experience with creepy suspense anime shorts, having both worked on the Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories series. The plot centers on mysterious monsters called “UMA” that suddenly appear and start attacking humans.

Scientist Sosuke Banba pursues the truth with the keyword “kagewani”, which means “Shadow Crocodile” in Japanese.
Veteran voice actor Tomokazu Sugita, also known as Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, stars as the scientist Sosuke with newcomer studio Tomovies will be handing the animation production.

Volleyball fans rejoice! HAIKYU!! returns with season 2 launching on Crunchyroll starting Saturday, October 3 at 12pm Pacific Time!

HAIKYU!! 2nd Season will be available to Crunchyroll members in the following territories: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Scandinavia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Latin America.


After losing to Aoba Johsai at the Inter-High, the Karasuno High Volleyball Team is working their hardest toward the Spring Tournament. In the meantime, it's decided that they'll be heading to Tokyo for a training camp with Nekoma High and a handful of other powerful schools. They team is practicing hard, and not day during their run, Hinata and Kageyama get too excited and end up lost, and end up meeting someone rather unexpected...

Production I.G. is once again animating the action-packed series, with director Susumu Mitsunaka back as well. Ayumu Murase, known for his roles as Rui Ninomiya in Gatchaman Crowds and Gii in Chaika – The Coffin Princess –AVENGING BATTLE, returns as Shoyo, and Kaito Ishikawa, who also voiced Shunshin You in Ace of the Diamond and Kohei Izumi in World Trigger, is also playing Tobio again. The new opening song will be “I’m a Believer” by SPYAIR, while the ending song will be “Climber” by Galileo Galilei.

Starting on Sunday, October 11 at 1:30am Pacific Time, users in the following territories will be able to enjoy the latest installment of the Gundam series: United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, and North Africa.


The latest entry in the famed Mobile Suit Gundam series, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM Iron-Blooded Orphans brings together again director Tatsuyuki Nagai and series writer Mari Okada, both of whom have worked together in the past on titles such as Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day and Toradora!

The story takes place more than 300 years after a great war between the Earth and Mars known as the “Calamity War,” has happened, with Mars having been successfully terraformed and colonized by humans. However, even with such technological advancements, the humans of Mars want freedom from the Earth’s government. Mikazuki Angus is part of a group of children who work for a civilian security company Chryse Guard Security (CGS) tasked with the safety of the Kudelia Aina Bernstein, who wants Martian city of Chryse to be free from Earth’s government. One day, the CGS, is attacked by Gjallarhorn against Martian independence, and Mikazuki must choose to follow his friend who decides to rebel against the CGS, or see his mission through as he stumbles upon the legendary mobile suit, the Gundam Barbatos.

Also for Diabolik Lovers fans, DIABOLIK LOVERS Ⅱ : MORE,BLOOD
, set to premier on Crunchyroll every Sunday starting October 4 at 8:15am Pacific Time, in the following territories: North America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and Turkey.


Based off of a drama CD and PSPS game, the Diabolik Lovers series centers around the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers, and the positive and kind-hearted heroine, Yui Komori. Due to her father’s work, she has to transfer to a new school, and ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers.

The second season introduces a new cast of brothers, the Mukami brothers, who are voiced by an all-star male cast, including Takahiro Sakurai, Ryohei Kimura, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, and Daisuke Kishio as Ruki Mukami, Kou Mukami, Yuma Mukami, and Azusa Mukami, respectively.

Or is that list of dates the announcement date, not the first show date?

Does anyone know if the new Gundam series is self-contained or not? I don't have the time to catch up on the franchise if it isn't.

This is a seperate timeline from all I've seen. you should be able to watch it with no prior knowledge.

Also, I let out an audible HELL YES! when i saw that crunchy was getting the new Gundam title. hopefully they'll pick some other Gundam shows up for catalog

From the announcement:

The original anime series Comet Lucifer comes to Crunchyroll starting Sunday, October 4 at 7:00am Pacific Time, and will be available to Crunchyroll members in the following territories: North America and Latin America.

It premieres in Japan that same day, at 22:30 (10:30 pm) JST.
