thats why you can have the stronger and weaker powerups ranomized while the more hm.. special or "needed"/wanting/personal ones not random to know you go here and you can get this like for example a flying vehical.

Or they could just, y'know, give the heroes to top-ranked players like they did in the old Battlefronts instead of an awful random system that's completely unfun.

So despite my shitpost a while ago, I decided to give the beta a download and see what I'm missing out on. Honestly really disappointed. I mean, I know Dice isn't the best with shooters, but god damn Battlefront really doesn't feel like a good game. It feels incredibly unfinished even though it comes out in about a month. The power-up randomization is terrible, the hero randomization is terrible, the map design is terrible, the gun-play is mediocre at best, and the fact that utility weapons and such like grenades are COOLDOWN ABILITIES is absolutely abysmal. It feels like they've tried their hardest to make a shooter for idiots and children. Nothing about the game feels rewarding for skill. I picked up an Orbital Strike powerup and killed about 6 people controlling a pod. Boy gee! Thanks, RNGods! I guess that's all there is to it! Let's not even bring up the broken partner system, and damage dispersal system. I didn't have a partner for 80% of the matches I played, and my headshots apparently weren't headshots. You're telling me this is a beta they'll fix in one month's time? Good joke. This is the modern game industry. This is the final version of the game, and it's ready to ship.

Yeah there's no such thing as an actual beta these days. Just attempts at controlled hype machines.

Also my favorite part of the maps was how they have the whooooooole Star Wars sandbox to play in and they decide the best representation for Pod Drop was... a forgettable pile of rocks and random acid pits. wtf

would have been so cool if they had animated drop ships in a grass field

and have some tunnels around (a bit WW-ish)

so insted of these big walking normal robots from Star Wars these sheild generators would be so much fun and heros was a good option to take them down, while other players has to cover him.

Walker Assault on Xbox has devolved from Hoth reenactment to a giant moshpit of the dlt-19.

I enjoyed Walker Assault even though like everyone says, it felt very imperial sided unless you had a rebel team who actually understood that the AT-ATs were the primary threat/objective. Survival is just survival, didn't think it was anything special but I am interested in what all the other game modes will be like. I will probably end upo buying it just so that I have something to play

Yeah i first tried the mission, just single player. I could see that being fun with mates. But would probably get boring and repetitive before too long. But maybe not if it gets really hard i guess.
The first MP mode was the 8v8(if i recal) one. I wasn't a big fan of this. It felt too much like COD or TDM as far as the shitty spawns.
At least you can do the spawn on a partner thing but even then you spawn badly half of the time.
The other mode, the 20v20 was better, more like battlefield.
But yeah no doubt, it seemed easier to get a big amount of kills or to win in the empire team.
I thought the controls for flying were pretty horrible.
I like the idea of unlocking and equipping cards and how you have to wait for them to recharge or pick up charges.
Its kind of cool how the way to get in the ships or walkers is buy finding cards/charges on the feild, as opposed to a kill streak or something.
I didn't get the chance to play as a hero character, that looked pretty bad ass.
Apparently aiming down your sights is no more accurate than shooting off the hip?..

I felt like i got pretty good at it pretty quick but the game feels very spammy and repetitive. Dose not have the freedom of say battlefield.
Guess i thought it would more like battlefield but it felt a bit more like COD, to me.

I think my best round i got about 27-28 kills and about 7 or 8 deaths but that was thanks to being in the big four legged walker and getting hell kills.
One round as the rebels i could not spawn without dying and got something like 2/23 lol..

I think i will buy it as my beloved battlefiled 4 is getting a bit old..
