So Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 came out to the opposite of a fanfare, a metaphorical mob with pitchforks chased it across the internet shouting abuse at its glitches, and game breaking bugs.
I saw all these reviews on friday, about half an hour before my copy arrived (hey, I'm a nostalgic kinda dude... I'd ordered it the day before as I knew I had a spare few hours that evening) and, I'll be honest, I was dreading putting it in my PS4 and had already checked to see how much I could get back for it and what the returns policy was.

I was mildly surprised at the 7GB 1.2 patch that downloaded when I put it in but I played some rocket league while it installed then braced myself and entered. The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't that glitchy- Tony goes all ragdoll when he falls off but it's not game breaking. I am finding it to be quite entertaining- there is a noticeable lack of the secret areas that made the earlier games so much fun, but there is also a noticeable lack of the Bam Margera led Jackass douchebaggery that led later titles to portray all pro skaters as insufferable overgrown children.

All in all I am finding it quite a good game- a little dated, clunky in places and definitely not worth the £50 that PSN is charging , but for the £32 I paid for it I can't say I regret it. Is anyone else playing? Has anyone else found the user created levels more rich and intuitive than the actual levels?

Maybe black Friday or if I come across it cheap(like 20 bucks) I'll pick it up. Just so many other games the deserve my money right now.

That's the one of the only things I've heard they got pretty on point to the originals.
