Post Reply What if the Colonists lost the American Revolution?

Well, for starters, we would lose some of the greatest technological advances in medicine. So, you could easily lower the average life expectancy across the globe with several years.

XD What I'm getting at is that England wouldn't go the same route the U.S. did.

Maybe there would have been more tea on board and the astronauts would have had weird sounding last names with posh accents but it still involves a rocket being fired at the moon with everyone on board wearing spacesuits.

The French Revolution would have been much less likely, reducing the likelihood of Napoleon and the spread of the ideals originating with the French Revolution. Europe would have been far more likely to remain rooted in Monarchy.

Past that, history would be so divergent as to be unrecognizable.

In all honesty, it's probably a good thing you guys won that war...

If we owned America still, chances are we'd still have a powerful Empire spanning the globe and ran by tyranny.

Oh, and slave trade would probably still be a thing.

I think Britain would be a power house but still have good and bad things about it. Tech wise we would still have modern military tech cuase during WW2 Britain was close behind Germany with jet power, so if we still had America we would have researched it maybe before any other nations. But other tech Im not sure maybe the same or not. You've got to think tho most nations that was in the Empire are only where they are today because Britain gave them the tech of that period which allowed them to get more modern/'civilized'. But the world today could be more peaceful cause most nations under 1 banner or more violent because they dont want to be part of Britain. Thats what I personally think so either way really.

Fun fact- America is not actually a democracy. It's a democratic republic, also known as "We have you elect people that have literally no power whatsoever so you don't notice that big corporations control everything".

Hell, Japan's much closer to a democracy than we are, and they're an oligarchy!
