I personally think this is CR's own fault.

They censor everything, have a larger selection of products than actual anime, and charge a sub that isn't worth it, when nothing new is releasing and/or you watch it somewhere else because of delay and censorship.

I think you're being unfair here. Those 'censored' ones are the same broadcast versions Japan gets as well, only exceptions being a few premium channels like AT-X and a few net-original shows that tend to be uncensored to begin with...
Besides, for all intents and purposes, you can treat the 'shop' and 'streaming' parts as separate entities. There are clear synergy benefits to having a shop like that attached to a place like this.

And honestly... Japanese drama? Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I think most of us agree we would drop the drama for more anime (or even manga, for me).

So? Some people are interested in that too. And CR clearly specializes in streaming Japanese stuff, that included...

There are a few things I think would save CR from what I think will be its death in a year or two... but no one seems to be listening to my suggestions, so I've stopped bothering with it.

I'm listening. But if the rest of your post is any indication, I don't exactly have high hopes...

If there is one thing I'd complain about CR to do something about, it would be This. One. Specific. Issue. on the security side; When changing emails, send the confirmation email to the old email and NOT THE NEW ONE godamit! ...yeesh, as many times as this issue has already been mentioned within the Help section...

Name one anime on this site that has nudity. There are none that I have found. But I get what you are saying... I do... it is because CR is a site to show anime broadcast in Japan. I just think that is narrow-minded. It wouldn't be terribly hard to get their hands on uncensored copies of anime that have already released on DVD. There is no nudity on CR... I don't think that is unintentional, but I do think it is unnecessary. I have been using CR less and less because of this, which is what I perceive to be a problem.

The Japanese drama... yeah... SOME people do like it... but how many? Are they really making enough money off of that to buy the licenses for it, rather than more manga/anime licenses? I'm not saying it is a bad idea, I'm just saying that for now, they'd probably do better to bulk up their anime, instead.

The store... my point wasn't that it is bad, my point was only that comparatively, the anime selection looks to be neglected.

You can defend CR all you like. It is slowly becoming not worth my membership fee. And if you think that has anything to do with the problem you stated, you are wrong. You can continue to think CR is fine, all you want, but I know I'm not the only one who's starting to look for anime elsewhere.

I haven't seen too much, AND they have been dropping support for streaming apps.....

Havent had a problem with the CR app on my tablet.

They dropped support on the....Samsung TV app? I think it was the Samsung TV app, and something else. I believe you can side-load an app on FireTV, but nothing native.

Prettymuch everyone has dropped support for the samsung tv app as well as every other tv app. In the end it costs alot of money to set up and maintain every fly by night app. It should come as no suprise when a service providor drops an app because the paying members on that obscure app don't cover the costs.that is why they dropped betamax, in favor of vhs and whatever that thing that tried to compete with blueray back in the day. Some standards survive like roku, android, apple tv and such and some get strangled at birth like samsung tv. Sucks if you are an "early adopter" and get burned all those people who bought lazer vidio discs, betamax players and whatever that pos that tried to compete with blue ray was all got but hurt but, in the end no ammount of complainining got their money back for "early adopting" a failed product
I got a few more 8tracks, zip drives, atari 5200, palm, blackberry... Come on people help me out lets name as manny failed media products as we can :-)

I wouldn't say those are failed per se, rather that time passed them by. Eventually, our current hard drive technology will be obsolete as well...

I am from the Netherlands and One Piece for example is blocked. But on my desktop I use the Epic browser and I can watch One Piece and other blocked shows. Maybe you should give this a try.

I've gotten to the point where I've seen almost everything I want on CR, because there are so few good new anime and I've burned through all the older stuff they have.

The forums are probably the most used part of the site.

There are a few things I think would save CR from what I think will be its death in a year or two... but no one seems to be listening to my suggestions, so I've stopped bothering with it.

CR is the best official subs out there. Censorship isn't up to CR. And the 'amount of good anime' out there (aka anime that fits your tastes) is also not up to CR.

Funi is much, much worse.

I did watch a drama series on here before.

It seems like this discussion comes up every season.
CR has 30 shows this season, Funi has 13, Hulu has 3.

Pretty sure people keep missing my point.

If you want to keep paying for CR, go for it. I'm about to cancel my sub. Waiting until Ushio and Tora is done airing.

Funny how no one thinks my reasoning is valid, but I know I'm not the only one looking for anime elsewhere.

I don't believe in paying for subs anyways

I'll support the industry in my own ways.

Then why defending CR anyway? You're getting it for free... of course you are happy with it. HAHA

In the end, CR makes money from subs, so if less people are paying them, they have less money. Sure, there is always the store, but can it support the product distribution plus licensing for shows without going belly up?

Why argue that CR is worth paying for, if you aren't paying for it? I just don't get it.

I'm just saying that if I had to pay, I'd choose CR over Funi any day. Quality-wise they are incomparable.

There are other anime providers, you know.

Sentai isn't much better, if at all, than Funi. Hulu doesn't sub their own stuff.

No clue about Daisuki.

I kinda like funimation. Crunchyroll is the Apple of the anime world to be honest.
