This season looks pretty weak. Spring was great and summer had a pretty good crop plus some good spring carry overs. This season? Not so much for either.

I think the reason a lot of us do watch mostly everything, is because we don't know what is good or not until we watch it.

So far I'm liking this season better than the previous two. Spring and summer were really disappointing.

Fall seems really lackluster to me. I'm watching less than half what I was last season.

But nothing to take the place of Shimoneta, for example.

Lul I'm with you

Dedication to a craft I suppose...

How many is there even in a season? how many would equate to '80%'?

It is too early to tell. Unless a show hits a lot of nope buttons at the same time then I try and give each show I select 3-4 episodes to really hook me. I know one show I enjoyed (it was very silly) got screams of pedophilia. Frankly it left me wondering what the hell they were watching since it couldn't have been the show I was watching. But still I will give all the shows 3 to 4 episodes to hook me before deciding on the quality of the season.

I am happy with this season. It has harems and mechas, those are my favorite types of animes.

I usually watch 10 shows at most per season no matter what, judging the quality of a season mainly by how many shows I find genuinely good, not how big a percentage of the season I'm watching, so my metrics might vary from yours. (Watching 80% of a season sounds mighty impressive, and also painful).

With that in mind, so far this season is a LOT better for me than summer was, possibly challenging winter for best of 2015. It's really about what kind of shows you like - spring and summer was almost entirely composed of the kind of shows I don't care about (slice of life and fanservice), whereas winter and fall have a lot of the more off-beat or plot-based stuff I love. The best shows of spring and summer, as far as I can hear from others, were shows like Euphonium and Prison School, both of which are simply not my thing, while the few shows to my tastes (Rokka, Arslan) were mostly disappointments. So far, the best shows of fall are the kind of stuff I like (One-Punch Man, Osomatsu-san, Gundam), so the season feels great for me, while if you prefer, say, moe, your pickings are slimmer this time around and potentially none of the options are actually good.

Another thing: this season has a LOT of sequels, so that's a lot of shows that aren't even in the running if you haven't watched season 1. So despite having a ton of shows theoretically, for some fans there might not actually be much to choose from.

As for whether the season is good on CRUNCHYROLL, well... Some of my top shows ended up on Daisuki this time, so that's not great, but Crunchyroll still has a fair selection. And I can actually watch everything legally this time, since Funimation got none of them, so that's great at least.

Because Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, I'd say this season(and the next) has thumbs up from me...

I think it's starting to shape up. I loved Perfect Insider and 35th Ant-Magic Platoon and Utawarerumono both seem really strong.

CR is dying, save yourselves.

I'm kidding, Crunchyroll hime ain't dead yet. Although I find CR's selection to be not at all exciting.

Seems like a good season for more adult-oriented, mystery and suspense fare, with Kindaichi, Black Jack, Perfect Insider, and Sakurako fitting nicely into my queue. Impossible to say how well these will fare, but I'm hopeful. Other than that, I'm only watching Teekyu 6, Heavy Object, and Concrete Revolutio (and I'm not completely sold on the latter two, but who knows?).

Last season was a bit of an oddity in how great it was. This season, sadly, is shaping up to be totally disappointing. Last season there were enough shows I was at least partially interested in enough to basically drop some not because they were bad but because I was pretty much at my anime quota. This season it's looking like I may have 3 full length shows to watch with a couple of short series as well.
