Warning! Stupidity Alert!
Posted 2/8/08
This is hilarious. I've only seen the normal ones though, like : Keep it out of reach of 3 year olds. This irrates eyes have been familiar though, often on laborataries.

In this day and age of warning labels I had a pizza that didn't tell you to take it out of the box.

Have you heard of the case where someone sued McDonalds when she spilled hot coffee on her. She won because there wasn't a label on the cup.

Well, I've seen instructions on the peanuts pack on an airline that says:
1. Open packet
2. Eat peanut

About the MacDonald's case, why do people bother to sue over such trivial stuff? Isn't it common sense that hot coffee is, well, hot? It was most probably an accident to begin with. And isn't it also common sense that fastfood is unhealthy? And that eating lots of it will make you fat? So what if it didn't come with a warning sign outside every outlet?

Window screens tell you not to put weight on them because they can break and you can fall out. The funniest one I have seen was on some white out that said do not eat or set on fire.

ROFL, thats insane xD

Anyone hear about that guy that sued God? He wasnt serious, he was making a point about stupid lawsuits xD (see below)

"A politician in the US is protesting at frivolous law suits in the US courts by launching one himself in which he is suing God.

The suit seeks an injunction against God to stop him and his followers making terrorist threats.

It has been filed in a Nebraska district court by Ernie Chambers, a Senator in the state Senate.

The suit says God "has made and continues to make terroristic threats of grave harm to innumerable persons". It said the threats were credible, given God's history.

It said God and his followers caused "widespread death, destruction and terrorisation of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants", as well as "fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects, and the like".

Chambers's suit was filed in protest at frivolous suits in general, and one in particular. During a trial for sexual assault on Tory Bowen the judge barred the use of certain words, including "rape" and "victim".

Bowen sued the judge in the case, but a court has already said it doubts whether that case has "any legal basis whatsoever".

Chambers said he was so outraged at Bowen's frivolous law suit he filed his own in protest. "This lawsuit having been filed and being of such questionable merit creates a circumstance where my lawsuit is appropriately filed," said Chambers, according to news agency Associated Press. "People might call it frivolous but if they read it they'll see there are very serious issues I have raised."

On the question of the court's jurisdiction, Chambers said in his suit that the Nebraska court was appropriate, since God is always present. He also said there would be no need to contact the defendant since he is also omniscient.

Chambers asked the court for a summary judgment or for an injunction against God from engaging in the acts detailed in the suit."
