Nothing. The only way anyone is dying is if there's some sort of accident.

Protect my family

Biological immortality

At their request, to end their suffering.

I honestly believe that if you wrong someone innocent, you'll suffer for it. But then, i'd wonder what would make someone innocent. If i really want someone dead, i'll just move the goalpost in order to make anyone not considered a child unqualified as "innocent". *shrug* I do sure hope i'm not that type of person lol.

Money and a good chance of getting away with it. Also, no one that's spent more than a decade on this planet is innocent....

Pretty much nothing. My parents are pretty old, my sisters it depends, but really I would be conflicted on such a dilemma. Now if it were like Omelas and mankind would reap the benefits of me killing the person, I'd consider it.

There exists such a plethora of reasons why I would kill someone innocent that this thread could not contain the list.

I wouldn't.

I might help someone commit suicide, if they were suffering greatly and desperately needed a way out and couldn't do it themselves. But even that would be hard for me to do, I would have to weigh it heavily and make sure they do, too.

My own hide, an insane amount of money, immortality, absurd levels of knowledge, magic, for the greater good, or in order to save my family if they were in danger.

What would make me do it?

If I knew for a fact that it was a choice between the life of the innocent, and the life of many innocents. Only if by not killing them, I was indirectly letting even more people kill - I would then be forced to choose between the evils for the lesser one.

Though even if this was the case, I would only ever do so if it was an absolute certainty that I could not save everybody. After all, it is very easy for many people even in the real world to justify murder (such as the in the case of soldiers killing enemy combatants and dehumanizing them to make it easier), and while such justifications might be useful for certain people, they are not anything that I have an interest in. Only in certain cases where you could know your actions are almost certain to lead to greater harm should you do nothing would I do it.

Sure, I would have to live with the guilt of having killed an innocent, but that is a burden that would be worth saving the lives of many others, and it would be cowardly to avoid doing the dirty deed simply to make myself feel better - and therefore allow many others to perish.

Though in the real world, such a situation never comes up, unless for example somebody took you hostage and told you to do so - and in that case, chances are that you killing the person or not wouldn't make any real difference, as the fact they forced you into such a situation in the first place proves that they do not have any kind of empathy or reason to be trusted.

If I'm being honest... probably only immortality... because then I'd be able to out-live a life sentence.

However, if I knew I could get away with it.... it would not take much at all. I'd probably just base it on an hourly rate... like.. $60 an hour or something.

Example:

Me - "It took me 2 hours to find Mrs. Wallabee in Walmart, before I smothered her. Took about 5 minutes to get the job done. Then I had to drive her electronic shopping cart back to the front, because the Walmart manager was being a dick... (like he's never seen a dead hag before. HA! I took out his mother, last week.)... driving that sucker back to the front took a good ten minutes. Soooo... let's say $140 plus the $5 I spent in gas, driving to town."

Customer - "What!?!!?!?? Your prices are outrageous, and I'm not reimbursing you for the gas."

Me - "Yeah, but it's a whole lot cheaper than the divorce you were about to pay for, right?"

Customer - "Yeah, but she can't divorce me now. HA! Jokes on you."

Me - "Mr. Wallabee... you run a restaurant, correct? I'll tell you what, just refer me to one of your disgruntled employees, and we'll call it even."
