Where do you enjoy?
I prefer pubs, not as noisy. Pubs you can probably relax more, get a meal at the right ones, play pokies at the right ones (if you want), play pool (at the ones that actually have pool tables).
Some have tvs and play sport. Probably a little cheaper.
I guess there are different types of pubs, sports bars, family pubs where more old people hang out and just eat cheap meals and gamble, lounge bars, etc
I like pubs that are kind of old fashioned with pool tables.
I guess some pubs are younger crowd and some are older crowd.
Where as clubs are really just for young people.
Of course clubs are good for those young hotties and for young people to get laid and dance and hear dat doof doof.
Pubs may have bands or karoake or quiz night, if your into that sort of thing.
I also prefer pool halls as opposed to clubs. I love playing pool though.
Where do you prefer to hang out?
I guess there's restaurants and cafes also.

I like bars, since they normally have pool or darts or card tables. As I'm not a partier, and don't drink alcohol, those kinds of activities are the only thing I like about drinking establishments. It's fun to go there with friends and play a few rounds on a quieter night. I don't do it often, but I enjoy myself when I do.

Depends. If I'm doing more than just drinking, clubs are nice.

Bars are more for a chill night out than for meeting new people and channeling the party spirit. The club matters, too. I have friends who are DJs and/or promoters and we go to a lot of small underground places in the big city. Those usually are frequented by acquaintances and friends we've met at other places. Old school ravers and stuff.

Hookah lounges once in a while are nice.

Pubs any day. Although I've been getting an urge to get wasted at a club recently. Not that it matters.

Yeah true that. As a teen i like house parties but i also just liked small gatherings/piss ups.
Then i used to go out into the city alot but more just pubs and to play pool. These days i prefer just like BBQ's and and movie nights n stuff.
So lazy sometimes we dont even really LAN anymore, just meet up on line

Cant really imagine hanging out at a bar without drinking?
I mean i might get a counter meal an just have a beer with it or just have a couple quiet beers whilst i play some pool. I think beer makes playing pool an darts an cards n that more fun.
Thats good and cheaper if you dont need that though.

Yeah some pubs are really quiet an chill but some have live bands and karaoke n stuff and some pubs are more a younger crowd with music an dance area, big beer gardens and stuff.
But i know what you mean.
I think i never really liked clubs becasue i never liked to dance.
Plus me being such a hard core hip hop head i never liked the music they plauyed in clubs (usually doof doof or r&b).
I prefered pubs that played metal.

I never dance, I hate dancing, I can't dance. I still go to clubs occasionally. It's usually because I'm on something else in addition to alcohol, haha. It's great fun meeting strangers and socializing sometimes, since those things make me very talkative and friendly, especially when it's a familiar venue and friends have come along with me. It feels like meeting new people at a house party hosted at your own place. I've become quite good at giving back rubs. Although I'm past the age where I can handle multiple Vegas weekends in a row.

^ yeah alot of my friends were into them pills n shrooms n trips n all that. I never really got into that.
Speaking of back rubs, i always used to see em all doing stuff like that.
And i always thought that you would need to be on hard drugs to really get into all that techno/jungle/ drum n bass/trance/etc music.
Guess i felt like a stooge being at a club and just being at the bar or a wall fly.
