I don't go out to places like that. Sometimes I hit up the cheaper arcade near me (15 dollars to get in, can be there all day and all 400ish machines are on free play mode) with a friend or two, but that's about the extent of it. I hate crowded places and stuff though. Just the thought of bars bothers me, and for clubs it's the same way. Yuck, screw that.

I dislike both never could stomach it. To loud to hold a conversation and if I want to drink il do it at home its cheaper and I can fully control what I want to do instead of having to conform to social norms. I do enjoy going bowling though with friends that can be fun.

I have always preferred my place. I can cook like a boss according to almost everyone that has had my cooking. I have two competition grade cork dart boards. I have a decent sized library of card and board games. I usually have rum, vodka, and tequila along with some mixers. I have a fantastic tea and coffee selection. I now have a large cabinet that I am converting into a bar. Next on the list of acquisitions is a pool table. I control the temp, the music, and within reason the volume. The only thing I really wanna go out for instead of having my people over is food I don't know how to prepare well enough yet. There is also a dual chamber grill and smoker. One half is gas and the other is charcoal/wood, so I can prepare a ridiculous selection at once if enough people are showing up.

The only way I usually enjoy clubs or bars is a two-fer, someone else is paying (half the price of a fifth for a freaking cocktail and half the price of a six pack for one beer?!?) and there is live music. My current place does not have the space to accommodate live music well. If I get my way and the next place has a full size basement I will have a full game and media room with a built in bar and space for a small group to perform. Why go out and spend a fortune when folks can chip in a bit and we can party our way with no interference for less? Someone brings a rack of ribs, another shows with brie and jam, I can whip up a freaking caviar dip to die for on less than ten bucks, someone else replenishes whichever fifth is near dead, whip up some beer cheese and soft fresh pretzel sticks, and we can rock on. I do need to work on a kegerator though. Maybe I should mod a freezer cabinet for that... bet I can find a dead one that I can resurrect for cheap. The only reason I can see to head out is if you are single and trying to pick someone up. If that is the case, interest groups are better than bars and clubs unless you want your mutual interests to begin, and possibly end, with drinking and picking people up.

Being home is obviously the best!
Here it's quiet. You can still drink and eat food. A lot better.

Not sure what other places are like, but here we have "tap-rooms" sprouting up. I enjoy those. They typically only serve their own brews, or maybe a couple from one of their friends' breweries. No kitchen, but will arrange to have a food truck parked there most of the time.

Why on earth would I want to go to either one? I suppose if I lived in Ireland or a place like that I might have to go in a pub to get a sandwich, but in the U.S. I can just go to a fast food restaurant. At night time I have better things to do, like watch anime.

Neither. I'm not comfortable being in crowded places.

It s funny i was SO quiet and incredibly shy as a teenager and hated school yet i absoulutely loved house parties and then a bit later in life, pubs and places like that.
You know how or why?, booze. If you drink you do feel confortable.
Well for me anyhow. But even though i came out of my shell and drinking dose give courage, dancing and karaoke are two things that even booze didn't make me feel confortable doing.
No point going clubbing if you dont like to dance, IMO.
I did dance at a wedding but i later chucked up and passed out lol.
I did try an dance with some girls in a pub once but that ended up in me pouring a drink over someones head and getting kicked out lol..
(i went through a phase where i couldn't control my drinking, you grow out of that. Some are worse than others though..)

I like to go to the football and cricket, that gets crowded. I guess it may be something that you grow out of or you might come out of your shell. Or maybe you'll just always be like that?
I dunno, iam a weirdo. I can be really social and talkative but also anti social and quiet.

Pubs. Preferably Irish Pubs.

Not that I drink these days, but I still enjoy the food and atmosphere.

The twenty year old me would probably have said clubs, but now I'd say pubs.

Pubs (bars). To me it is also a plus if they serve real food.

I never liked clubs, even when I was going out every weekend.... The most I can do is karaoke and a small dance floor in a bar.
