OOC: Durako should be here, he was in the caravan the whole time.

IC: Francis held the container close to his heart. He could feel the soft thrum of life within it. A container holding the purest essence he could ever find in the world. He could feel Nera within it. This was something that could save her from death.

"This...this is Nera. Well, her essence actually. We could use this to bring her back. We...we just need to clean her body first. We wouldn't want her to return all dirty after all." He said as he protectively held the container. His hunters, the summons of his hunt, were finished with their task. He looked at her body and sighed softly. "There are 5 things we could do to bring her back. Well, actually 2 since we aren't at our original world. We could kill the village she came from, harvest the essence and implant it at her immediate family...willing or not; then we kill said family member as a sacrifice to resurrect Nera, this would strengthen the essence in the container before we return it to her body; the other would be one of us would have to infuse our essence to her body while we return her own essence. Both have their merits and drawbacks. The first would count as genocide while the second may kill us...'A life for a life.'"

Francis looked at the two. If it would come down to it, he would do both without a second thought. As was taught to him, 'A life for a life.' An innocent such as her does not deserve such a fate as death before her time.

Durako knew, with certainty, that Francis was out of his wits. He would not interrupt, though. Only attempt to make him realize his own thought process.

"Tell me, what do you know of death? You say you want to bring her back to save her from death. Death isn't all bad, it is a necessity of life. Do you personally know what happens when someone dies? Of course not."

"You say you want to bring her back. I see multiple problems with the way you are thinking as of now. It is shameless, really. First of all, you don't know if that is truly Nera's essence. It could be something far darker than the essence of Nera. Second of all, and herein lies the problem... You have two options to bring her back here, you say? One. Genocide. I assume you are thinking to kill the village. How would Nera feel on her return? Would she be truly innocent, then? She would surely realize it. You would have killed a whole village. Some of whom may be innocents as well. If you kill innocents to save one, does that innocent you saved share the blood you soaked your hands in? Second. You kill us. Or yourself, in the process of saving an innocent. How do you think Nera would feel in that situation, as well? She would not be innocent anymore. You would be the one to force her hands into crimson fluid."

"Drop it, Francis. If you want to bring her back, I suggest doing it in Veialle, away from your wicked means. Not here."

"And I am called a killer..." he mutters under his breath.

His eyes were distant as his body slackened, "Your right. Someone as innocent as her doesn't deserve blood on their souls." Francis said as he took a couple of calming breaths. Now that he thought about it, Nera might live a life of sorrow and torment if he did either of those things just to bring her back. Back home, they have more humane and safer means of bringing the dead back to life. He looked at the glowing container as he brought it close. She really wouldn't like it if she knew she was the cause of so much death just to bring her back on the waking world. "A desperate man would do the most desperate things to bring something back. Even if blood must be spilled. So you can't blame me if I, a desperate man, would resort to murder of an entire village that may have scorned her the entirety of her life. But to taint her souls is such a way would destroy her."

He sighed before looking up at the sky. "We go back to Veialle. She shall live once again in the land that would appreciate her. This world, has lost its chance to someone who could have helped it. This world does not deserve her." He turned his gaze to Nera. She would live. Death would have to relinquish his hold on her by the time they were done with her.

Nera woke up to darkness. Suddenly, she rose up. As she felt herself rising up, she saw her own body on the ground. "Oh no, no, no, this can't be real, can it? I'm dead!?" She started giggling out of insanity. "I'm a ghost...." She sobered when she saw her friends. "They came back for me..." as she looked at them, she saw the sadness in their eyes. This almost caused her to cry. "I'm so sorry for what I've done to both of you...Maybe I should have just stayed with them and never tried to fight Thanatos. Speak of the devil, where is he? Well, it doesn't matter. What does matter is why they haven't left me..." She put her hands on Aoi's shoulder, "I don't care if you can feel or hear me, but just... thank you, you were the best friend I ever had, even for this short amount of time..." She turned towards Francis. "Francis, from the day I met you, I knew I could trust you, and I was right. Through my short time with you, I saw how much you cared about others, and you helped me as if I was family to you. Thank you..." she took her hand off Francis's shoulder and sighed. "Why are you here..." she mumbled, then slammed her hand on her mouth. "I hope they don't hear that." she took a step back and stepped on a twig. "They definitely heard that. I hope they believe in ghosts..."

Francis felt a comforting chill on his shoulders. He was about to dismiss it until he heard something drift on the currents of the wind. It sounded like words were spoken near them, soft and feminine. He could have sworn it sounded like Nera. A sudden snap was heard which prompted him to look around wildly, the container housing Nera's essence clutched close to his chest. His heart soared, maybe...maybe it's her. Nera. "Nera? Is that you? Oh Nera, please let it be you! We--I--I almost done something terrible to bring you back. B-but they stopped me, from doing it. Oh Nera, forgive us for failing you..." He slowly knelt before her body. His exhaustion growing due to the turmoil within him. He was tempted to do the unthinkable. But would he truly taint her soul and body with the blood of sinners? Maybe he would if the two hadn't stopped him in time.

"Nera, please forgive me. I-I was desperate. I was willing to taint your soul with the death of many, the death of those that scorned you. But what I wanted would have ruined you. It would have dirtied something so pure..." He brought the container close to his cheek as he whispered his heartfelt call for apology. It actually hurts. For the first time in his life, the thought of sacrificing such numbers for the innocent actually tore him in two. He hopes that Nera could find it in her heart to forgive his foolish thought and plan.

When Aoi saw Nera- yes, he could see her, it was probably his inhuman side that allowed him, when he heard her voice, when he felt her hands on his shoulders, he almost broke down and cried. "Nera..." He looked at her supernatural form. "We'll get you back. I promise. We'll find a way. A way that doesn't involve death or destruction." He looked down at her body, and was reminded of something. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that Thanatos anymore. He's gone. Gone for good." He didn't tell her that he himself had killed the man; he would tell her that later.

Nera smiled as tears made their way down her face. "Thank you..." she didn't want to know what happened to Thanatos, but was glad he was gone. "Oh Francis... I forgive you. I should thank you... you would have done the unthinkable just to bring me back..." she murmured, with full honesty. She suddenly saw Thanatos reach towards Francis. She screamed, but when Thanatos reached Francis, he disappeared. She fell on to her knees, shaken. "Even if Thanatos is dead, he will haunt me forever." She was able to calm down. Both men looked at the area around her in alarm. She shakily was able to say, "I'm sorry, I thought I saw Thanatos..." Nera hoped she was still sane.

"Thanatos?! Where?!" Aoi snarled, suddenly enraged. 'I thought I got rid of the guy! Why, I'll show him for messing with my friends...!' he thought, looking around. 'Calm down...!' he thought to himself, taking deep breaths to settle down. "S-sorry about that... Sometimes my rage can get out of check...." he apologized, embarrassed.

Nera giggled."It's fine, Aoi. I guess I just must be hallucinating. But I must ask, what do we do now? I mean, there are no known people, In this world, who can raise the dead, but the gods." "Maybe they should just leave me here... I really don't want to interrupt the circle of life. There have been grave consequences for those who did." She suddenly realized how tired she was. "Well, from what I have heard, ghosts never sleep, but I can just lie down." Being very careful, she went next to her body and layed down. She looked to her body and thought. "Well then, never thought I would be sleeping next to my own body." she chuckled at her fate, then sobered. "I never thought this was going to happen." she then got up, sat on her knees, and wondered, "Maybe, if I can pray, I can get help from the gods. I should pray to Anastasia, the goddess of resurrection, to help me." So she folded her hands and placed them in her lap, closed her eyes, and started praying.

Francis stared at Aoi for a few moments before shaking his head. "This world seems to play tricks on us now, so calm yourself Aoi." He turns to Nera, well where the voice of Nera originates from, "In Veialle, life can begin anew. Within the dried up pools of essence there lies the secrets of life itself. We'll just have to look for the nearest Essence Pool back in our world and leave the rest to me. We're not going to kill someone to bring you back, Nera." He added as an afterthought. This was one of the five ways they could bring her back to life. The remaining two would involve deals of the otherworldly kind that asks for a very steep price. A price none of them could ever pay.

"Besides, the gods have no say on the matters of life. For life comes from the heart of the earth. The essence that flows through the land grants us all life. It's even the source of my powers, actually; that's why I can keep the multitude of essence cores in my body for my Wild Hunt." He finished with a sheepish laugh before smiling softly. "So do not fear the retribution of the gods. Life herself would disapprove of the actions of the gods and only Death has the final say in the transactions with Life."

"So, let's get back to Veialle!" Aoi said with false energy. He steadied his hand, which had been shaking a bit, and held it up, focusing then opening a portal back to Veialle. "Well, everyone in." he rushed them, knowing that he couldn't keep this portal open for long. He'd been pushing his limits, he'd prefer that the group not take their sweet time going back to Veialle. "We need to go before anyone has a chance of finding us. If they know Nera still exists, they'll probably call an exorcist."

Nera looked up at Aoi. She sensed something wasn't quite right with him. But she could ask him later. "I guess he also just saw his friend die, and become a ghost. Pretty crazy, I guess..." she smiled. "I never thought I would say that..." She stood up, smoothing her pants down. "I'm really, really, sorry, Aoi, but could I get my horse, Fotia? I left her at my old home. And I promise I will be careful..." she looked pleadingly at Aoi.

Aoi nodded. "But be quick about it, please..." he said. He didn't have much energy left, and if he was going to get everyone through the portal he would have to do it soon. His hand was starting to shake slightly already.

Nera nodded before gliding away quickly. "I hope that Fotia is still there..." When she reached he house, she couldn't see Fotia. "Lina probably brought her in. It's fine." However, when she went to the back of the house, she couldn't see anything, but instead, she saw her sister talking with a strange man. "Is two pounds good enough, sir?" her sister said. "This is fine, missy. But may I ask, why did you get rid of the horse meat? It looks quite fattening..." the man said in a deeply accented voice. "Oh sir, this was my sister's horse." A moment of silence passed between the buyer and the seller. Nera didn't stay around to hear what happened next. She let out a blood-curdling wail and starting gliding away. "No! I came too late!" When she reached her friends, she was crying very hard, but was able to say."I...I...I'm sorry. Al...al...alright. I'm ready..." she wiped the tears off her face roughly.

(Sorry for short reply ahhhh)

Aoi looked at Nera. Something was wrong. "Nera, what happened?" he asked, seeing her in distress. "What happened to Fotia?"
