This is another one of my attempts of making a semi-useful thread (Last one was about listing all the overseas anime goods dealers, you can find that in the CR forum somewhere unless you want me to point to that thread again)

Please share all the links that you use to find something specific or semi-specific to browse. (Besides things like Google and Wikipedia. Wikipedia, by the way, is an infinite rabbit hole if you keep getting sidetracked)

Basically, share all the links where you find a virtual can of worms that might lead to years of non-stop web browsing. I could never collect enough of those.

It could be about any subject or no specific subject, as long as it's not NSFW stuff that would get us all in trouble.

Here are some of mine. If I dig up some more I'll share more.

All My Faves

Moreofit - old but still useful, has more options than similarsites.com

Alternativeto - just in case you don't know this one yet
http://alternativeto.net/

Free games listings at EB if you actually play those instead of "steam collect" them
http://www.epicbundle.com/free-games

Alpha Coders - great place to search for specfic kinds of wallpapers (example search link is "sci fi")
http://wall.alphacoders.com/tags.php?tid=1146

I have a bunch of anime news links, but I don't know which is the best since they all repeat the same stuff over and over (maybe people can compare them)

...Same with game news links, but Siliconera seems relatively original
http://www.siliconera.com/

Movievisor
http://movievisor.com/

10 minute disposable email (not a web-finding link but you need this, trust me)
https://10minutemail.net/

Anime recommendation engine (should take care of all of those "suggest me an anime" questions)

Although I'm not really used to using The Frontpage of Internet, I have to admit that the average random thread over there appears to be more creative... https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/3igxz8/with_all_these_new_anime_with_super_long_titles/

Haha, there are quiet a few silly threads and what not too, but there's loads on there. Can find most things I'm looking for. And if you can't, there's subreddits dedicated to other people finding stuff for you.

I remember this site. I loved the article "Americans Hate Tingle"
(or, "How could those stupid Japanese fans have SAO characters so high on their rankings? They all must be insane!")

I seriously think Google Image Search does a much better job at identifying image sources than Tineye. If Tineye doesn't improve its database soon the site is probably gonna go kaput.

It's really interesting to compare the different language versions of each article...

The Polish language version is actually shorter.

If you look at the article about the history of China, the English and Chinese versions have comparable length.

It's all in who are doing the writing.

I almost forgot about http://www.cracked.com/. I used to open so many tabs there before going to the second page of something that my browser would choke...
