Why is it that nobody cares, but they'll say they do if you're about to take your life? What does it even mean to "care" about someone? Is it possible for humans to care about strangers? When I read posts of people wanting to commit suicide, the first thing I see in the comments is "Don't do it, I'm sure there's someone who cares". Does that really help? Because I get pretty angry when I read that. I would try to be realistic.

I don't know what I want to say. If you got the time and nothing better to do, try to give me an answer.

As someone who had a friend commit suicide later in the night, after we argued... and dealt with family and friends blaming me (she pretty much blamed me in the note she left)...

I would say more people care than you know. I still live with guilt and miss that person. I DID care. Just because people are selfish, stupid assholes, that doesn't mean they do not care... It only means that they are not perfect at communicating it. And, sometimes people can be shitty because they have their own problems.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem... and I would go as far as to say that a person considering suicide because no one cares should probably evaluate how much THEY care about others, if they are willing to put everyone else through that.

Suicide is dumb from my opinion, and this is from someone who is depressed and once suicidal. There's so much more to life than what you think.

People do care about strangers, it is called empathy. Nobody with a caring heart wants another person to commit suicide.

Lost my best friend in middle school because of it. My heart goes out to friends and family who have had to deal with it before.
The line you are speaking out against however, is probably more so told to have the person reevaluate why they are doing it so that they can reflect upon their situation and hopefully find a reason to not go through with it.

More than likely, you have at least one person who would miss you if you died.

Not allways, or atleast if its helping (goes on with talk about torture and the mind etc.. etc .. etc) derp, should not have said that.. to an allready depressing topic :/

And sometimes it can be so silly its more looked like a "trend".

The idea that nobody cares about you is yours alone. It's not the reality of things, it's just what you choose to think. So I honestly don't think anyone should have to or need to explain how much or why they care. At the end of the day it's pointless when the person asking for an explanation already has their mind set in believing that nobody cares.

I think everyone goes through a phase in life but most people come to light and see that there is more but to all people we all remember Robin Williams. He was a great man and he brought smiles to everyone but sadly this world pushed him too far and he took his own life. I almost feel as if he took his life to open peoples eyes to this world, there are many bad people who will say things just to make themselves feel better.. At least that is what I found when I was told "Don't do it" "Don't be so selfish" it also angered me because there where the people who used to bully me or make fun of me, there was no reason for them to care aside from the fact that my death would have been on their hands.

I guess what I am trying to say is don't get sad and depressed. Get angry, get angry at the people who pretend to care then turn that anger into something constructive like writing stories, building models, drawing and eventually all that depression that turned into anger will be vented out.

I used to have mix feelings about your posts, but I like this one. 10/10.

i've butted heads over this with that one cr user Aiyumega. I don't see why anyone has to care but i also do not see why you should care if the people around you want you alive. Both sides can be selfish. life is not as precious as we pretend it to be so you can go on living with hope or you can call the shot to end your life. seeing as most people choose life, maybe there is something for you to live for. as they say, humans are designed for life [i don't know who so don't ask lol], maybe living how you want to is part of that. once all your cells die, it's over.

I used to be bullied to a point that I had suicidal thoughts. Fast forwards, it gave me the "I don't give a shit" mentality and started focusing what I care about vs do others care about me? I took control of my life, and when you care for others; although, they do not care for you. Remember that it only takes one special person to show they care through their actions to turn a life of living hell to a life of dopamine

Like welcome to NHK:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ma3AUEl90s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rM5Xymauus

Why Emotions can be such an *overload* into your thoughts are quite scary..
Thats why I like to be a bit random and bring some neutral stuff on your mind.
Like it stops your head from thinking and leaves you better of moving on like in NHK,
where the girl at the first episodes drags him to do or see things or "jump" over the things he are thinking about.
Just by either holding him a little on the shirt made him snap out of it and why I really love some parts in NHK (watching it now).

but sometimes I got to say people are too fast on the trigger and when the trigger is right in front of them (or ONLY can see it and nothing else) -__-

"Time for a spell breaker!!"

It sucks if someone doesn't enjoy life, but I'm not for drugging them till they're happy. If they want to die, let them die. I may like my life now, but I remember what it feels like to hate my life. Not being able to quit the game of life can be one of the worse hells a human can go through.

People who have had similar suicidal thoughts can very easily sympathize with those who feel like they want to end their life.

Suicide itself is usually a very impulsive decision. Not very often is it planned extensively. There is a huge difference between being depressed and actually wanting to take your own life.

That being said, there is almost NO circumstance where the suicide of one person will not effect ANY other lives. In most cases, it messes up some people real bad, even those you may not expect.

Case in point: Suicide is usually impulsive and never the right choice. At that moment it may not seem like it, but shit does get better.
