The 00" Civics were the best and had a lot of spirit when you stepped on the peddle and activated the VTEC. I've had many speeding tickets and all but, two of them were in the Civic. However, that was the 00" Civic. Today I'll just tell you to go with the Accord it is much better.

I think we test drove either the 2012 or 2014 Honda Civic. What I remember most was that I didn't like the interior, it felt a little too big to me.

Fuel efficient but kinda plain. I guess it depends if you want a car to just drive from point A to point B or do you want a car to DRIVE. There's a difference and I didn't realize it till I got my BMW.

The 168hp SiR version of that (not sold in the US) was Cool too.

As cars got better equipped, bigger and safer in the last 2 decades, they got heavier too. Lol.
The use of lightweight high strength steel and aluminium components in new cars can help trim down a few pounds here and there but that's it.

Current Type R has a 306HP 2.0 turbo.

It's fuel efficient, easy to fix, and a nice college campus car; besides its plain exterior and interior I see no problems with it.

As a man who has built and helped build his fair share of cars I have to admire anyone who can work on a Honda civic. They sheer amount of cash and labour to achieve even minimal gains in the performance department is insane. That being said I much prefer Mitsubishi as my first car was a used EVO IV and I turned that thing into a monster for a quarter of the price and work a Honda Civic would take.
