A few days ago I quit my debate team, during that time to now I had been wondering about a certain member of that group, the valedictorian-to-be. Looking at his achievements he has above a 4.5 gpa (even I must admit I’m impressed) is in 4 sports, like 10 clubs(a bunch of them having to do with helping people, current events, and the enviornment) and has not been absent or even late to school. To tell you the truth I do kind of believe he is perfect, but that just my opinion and experience with the topic.
So I’ll ask it right now, do you believe in perfection and why?

Heheh you're just describing your stereotypical overacheiver. Everyone has that type of person in their graduating class. Basically he's the top fish in his small pool. When he gets to a good school he's not going to be the only smart one. There's going to be a lot of smart or smarter overachievers than him. It usually happens like that this will give him a shock at first knowing he's not the smartest one in the pool in the more. It might actually humble him but that's what usually happens so there's no reason to think he's perfect what so ever

do u really understand him? if u r... then i have nothing to say.. if u r not.. then dun make assumptions that he is perfect.. cos u dun even know what he is thinking or feeling... end

yeah i get all these he's not perfection answers, but you know, what hes also not arrogant while remaining kind and modest and to my eyes hes the next best thing to endless sunshine and lolipops
and he understands the concepts i understand( school is not for education its for confidence; a nation does not destroy others just because they feel like it, it takes a little push to get it started)

Perfection is either impossible or something we cannot pass judgment on.

1. The perfection we aim for is way too far out of reach. In other words, like a round square. Its a logically impossibility.

2. The perfection we aim for is but an illusion. It is not really perfection, but instead something we convinced ourselves is perfection. Therefor we do not know whether we have achieved perfection or not. In fact, we do not know for sure if perfection even exists, or what it is, as it is a man-made idea.

Perfection... is relative.
About that person...
Well, know that people are bound to fuck up at one point in their life.
That is absolute. Absolute perfection is impossible.
Same shit with God.

What if perfection actually lies in a 5-year-old kid's drawing?
Or on a misprint on an popsicle wrapper?
You get the point.

im a perfectionest but i dont believe in perfection, how messed up is that?! lol, the thing is even if there was such a thing reaching it would be a bad thing cuz from there where do you go? but seeing as how humans in gereral are allways trying to do more i dont think even if perfection is reached we would even relize it. that guy from the dedate club is probly still working hard to do even more! we are ficale creatures and when we come close to a goal or expectation we just raise the bar.

this guy sounds like creepy close to perfect, not that im saying it exists but omg! but you know you see a lot for guys like that in anime who turn out to have a side the rest of the world never knew about, usally a rebelous side, lol. but he sounds like someone really cool to meet, lol, all though being so brillent can make someone seem unreal and distant. you can poke wholes in the most perfect people, which is good, cuz humanity doesnt like perfection. to bad this guy isnt president, i dont think the rest of the world would hate us as much then, lol.

i don't think it's possible because to have somethings- you almost always have to give something up...also, perfection depends on your standard of perfection which varies from person to person....

Nobody is perfect, including him, how can he be perfect when he is not even graduate yet, havent tried the career world, finding partner, getting married, have children, getting old & grandchildren.... He just blinded by the cocoon of a college world. until he taste the true color of real-world; there is still alot of space for improvements. (Applies to all of us)

no because well, some peole may find perfect in different views so one person cant be perfect in everyones views because one view may contradict the other.....and well, i believe there is no such thing as perfect- thats why people have been trying hard to improve their lives to reach perfection but there will still be flaws.....

'Perfection' is just a myth, something might be perfect in the eyes of one person, yet imperfect in the eyes of another.

There's no such thing as perfect. because from your view, he may be perfect. But from his own view, he may be flawed.

and because you view him as perfect, other people will do the same; will they not? and some people would dislike him. Thus, creating something that people don't like about him; thus a flaw. therefore he is imperfect. =)

I'm sure there is some guy (or girl) out there who is like you described who could be considered "perfect" by those standards. I believe there is such a thing as perfection however i think it is extremely stupid to give all the effort required for it. If that guy is happy doing what he does and getting 30 mins of free time a week by all means good for him, I would never want such a life and would either change it or kill myself if i had one. I don't admire perfectionists, i look down upon them.
