Saw the demo two days ago and never heard about it before then, so when I played it, I was in for a surprise. Very much like one of my all-time favorite RPG Series; SaGa. It's definitely not on Romancing SaGa level or artistry or vastness judging from the world map scale, but it's definitely worth the look if you haven't already.

(Word of the day: Definitely)

My package should be arriving sometime today. Should be fun.

I got the game today, but haven't messed around with it yet. I played a little of the demo -- kind of reminded me of Bravely Default (who wouldn't given the similar art style). I was initially confused with the combat system. It relies a lot on the formations you either make or make use of that were set by on default. Also, I believe the leveling system is based on the use of your weapon and skills? (Kind of like Disgaea) rather than the typical leveling found in Final Fantasy and most RPG's.

Well its the spiritual successor of the SaGa series from the ps1 Era. It works mostly like this: each character has a preset statgrowth and chance to grow those stats. By using arts often you'll enable a likelihood to grow said Stat. This includes gaining new arts for weapons.

It's pretty complicated but in simple terms. RNG :/

With 14 hours clocked in I have noticed it really is a weak game in whole but it still has the same amount of fun and difficulty

I've heard that it's really lacking a strong narrative and is really grindy and repetitive. I haven't started up my playthrough yet, but I hope the grinding is not as bad as it sounds.

I got my order yesterday and so far the gameplay has remind me of Final fantasy 2 and the Saga games.

Leveling Stats also has to due with how strong your enemy is. You have a greater chance of awakening skills on a boss then normal monsters.

Yeah it can get grindy. But to be fair, most everyone only experienced the Demo and played it like a demon trying to fight the Shadow Titans to get all the abilities. Now there are more areas and it became significantly less grindy.

Gotta say though, I was hoping for a much more expansive world like every other SaGa game.

So has anyone beaten the game yet? If so, how was it?

I really like it but I haven't played for 2 weeks now coz I've been busy and I have a lot of grinding to do. It's a fun game!
