Strike this idea, it was pretty hard to accomplish anyway ^_^

Its being done to a degree so I dont mind...

Although having an internet anime revolution would definately be cool, although were probably pretty far away from that ever happening...

if they obtain the copyrights... for every anime thats been licensed.... that would cost thousands of dollars...and you wouldnt be able to view licensed anime for free, even if they obtain the copyrights... they would make u pay...

Licensing a series, even one that's not extremely popular, can cost quite a bit of money.

Do you even know how much it costs to get a license of a series? American companies like ADV, MediaBlasters, etc shell out thousands of dollars to hold rights for dubbing and selling it. Unless YouTube wants to give out 1 Billion + Dollars to licensing companies for rights there is no way it is going to happen.

crunchyroll adapting this......are you kidding me? It is run by a collage student for goodness sake.

sigh....
So make it a premium section, and it wouldn't be buying a liscense, it would be buying retailer's rights to show, and part of the proceeds from the premium membership would go to the liscense holding company.

Example:
Crunchyroll obtains the retailers permit to show Death Note.
The only people to be allowed access to it, would be crunchyroll supporters or premium members (possible different pricing who knows)
The quality would be good, as it would be fed to Shinji from the liscensing company, there would be higher levels of advertising. Etc etc etc.

On the whole not a bad idea, with modifications.

However, those modifications would basically require a whole new site, that's linked to this one...
A lot more work than I"m sure shinji wants to take on.
Now if shinji had a staff of 20 people, it's a possibility.
But he doesn't.

This would cost a bit of more money tho...
And maybe too much...

But it would be nice to have it like that!
Good idea too...
