Dammit... here I was about to start a thread about my decision to drink a coke even though it's not good for me as if shots were given about such trivial things... but someone dun beat me to it

Actually, I'm thinking I've probably become diabetic for certain reasons (symptoms point that direction). So, I've been avoiding things heavy in sugar until I can get into the doctor. Not too hard, because I don't care for sweets, but I am drinking diet.

Hopefully I'll get into the doctor soon. VA takes a bit of time.

Really?

I hate the sugar and carbonation the acidity is what makes me drink it.

I had acidity problems in my stomach before so I stopped drinking soda (for years). Now whenever I try drinking soda I just can't take more than a couple of sips and I feel like I just wanna throw up lol

I had a different, but somewhat similar problem. As a kid, I went on a six hour road trip, and all my parents brought to drink was Mountain Dew. I ended up drinking too much, and threw up. Ever since then, my soda intake has been very small (no more than a can every couple of months, actually), and I have totally avoided Mountain Dew.

As for Ryulightorb, between this and your thread claiming all healthy food tastes like crap, I honestly don't know what you eat. Seriously. Water doesn't taste bitter- it barely has any taste at all, in fact.
"YOLO i'm going to die anyway..." Yes, You Only Live Once. So why would I want to eat food that, even if it tastes better, makes me feel worse in the long run? I'm much happier overall if I am healthy and reasonably stress-free than I would be if I had lots of money and always ate junk food.

I can't stand soda/ overly sugary drinks- water would be my beverage of choice. Chocolate however...

I used to love the taste of sweets, but now, I like it in moderation.

And it makes things more enjoyable when I am able to hold a craving until the next day~
That anticipation makes things taste so much better! (*´▽`*)

That sounds traumatic but at least it's making you healthier from less soda intake
And about the yolo, ikr?! Now that I think about it, it's very paradoxical. You only live once, so you should live your life with whatever makes you happy.... But then again, you only live once so you should be careful. And usually the things that makes us happy are risky
