I usually just remove it and continue with the eating. If it's long, dark hair, then it's different. I never throw food because of hair, but my appetite definitely goes places.

I'd get clinical about it. Staphylococcus aureus is what we are talking when it comes to hair. Somewhat harmless, but also a major cause of digestive 'distress', aka food poisoning, in North America anyway. Usually this won't come from hair, but poor hand washing, food handling and temperature control. (gloves are not a perfect solution, staph loves it under gloves and breeds like crazy, wash your damned hands)

If the hair is in a cooked product. No worries, once staph is dead its threat is removed it doesn't leave a toxin as waste (Clostridium botulinum). Also since Staph is basically all over us our bodies are very used to it. We all have our own strains which we often share with those close to us, that is why we can touch our own hair and then put our fingers in our mouths without getting sick.

This biggest worry is staph from strange sources in an uncooked (sterilized) state. Staph also needs a little time to get rolling it needs to be alive and thrive for a little. After 4 hours or so it will have plenty of time to multiply and overwhelm your immune system, or at least trigger a reactionary response where your body decides to 'purge' your digestive track.

For example if I was to be traveling and find a hair in a raw, protein rich food which might have been sitting for a little while (potato salad, dat mayo) than it is a definitely not eat. If a hair from a regionally close source was in roast I'd probably eat it. Of course I'd probably also have to trust where I was eating, and I wouldn't eat there if I didn't trust it.

*All this is a no don't eat it if you have a gap in your immune system, ulcers, illness or some prescription drugs ect.
**Small factoid this staph stuff is why if we get a cut and the cut isn't treated it becomes infected most of the time. The red inflammation is trademark to your own bodies local staph having a field day with its fresh opening to attack you.

I would probably just remove the hair, but if it's a lot, then I would just chuck that thing in the trash, lmao.

No, because I'm not paying for hair toppings, also if a hair was in it, God knows what else made its way in.

I do everyday, so much cat hair in the air.

If it was in a restaurant, I'd point it out and ask for a refund. And still eat it anyway.

It usually doesn't bother me much unless it's really mingled in the food...Then it kind of creeps me out.

If it's just a single strand and not ridiculously long, then I'd probably just take it out and still eat. I'm usually of the mindset that if it won't make me sick, then whatever... Considering we're talking about food, I should probably adopt a more careful philosophy.

Depends on how hungry I am, mostly I would probably throw it away unless I knew whose hair it was.
If it's a friend or a family member or pets then its fine and I'll just take it off with whatever it was directly touching.
