Nothing against females, or even reasonable feminism... just the nuts. Here are my beefs:

1.) Unnecessarily degrading men.

You do not have to push someone else down to stand up.

2.) Belittling women who prefer traditional roles and appearance.

I support your right to live like you want, but please do not make other women feel wrong for living in a way that makes them happy.

3.) Blaming everything on men.

Kinda like number one, except a bit different. Not everything wrong with the world is the cause of men. In fact, low wages in the States was caused by women flooding the workplace. Twice as many workers, and the same amount of jobs. However, you demanded to be employed, so jobs were made that should not have been, and it threw everything out of whack. Years later, we're still trying to work it out.

Not saying women should not have equal wages or anything like that. I'm just saying you should stop blaming men for the world's problems.

4.) Denying progress.

Seriously... can you guys, just once, admit that tremendous progress has been made. Sometimes when I listen to you guys, I think you all believe women are still living in the 1800s' conditions.

EDIT: I do apologize for the crappy thread title. Wasn't thinking things through on that one. For the record, if a mod decided to change it to "Issues with Radical Feminist Nuts" I would appreciate it.

Again, sorry about that.

I think the victimization mentality is partially to blame. People need to understand times have changed, and in the U.S. at least is fairly equal.

So, why did you title this thread "Issues with feminism" instead of "Issues with nuts"?

Perhaps he's referring to the nosedive the whole western movement taken as a result.

I find it so suspicious that this thread came up right after "US meaning of equality is unrealistic"

Good point. But, I don't have a problem with ALL nuts. Can I change it to Issues with feminist nuts?

After all the very vocal minority can often colour peoples perceptions of a group as a whole.

Depends. Dworkins and Atkins have been popping up left and right since the 2000s. The movement as a whole split into two seperate groups of pro sex and anti pornography groups.

Think what you want...

Sometimes I get in the mood to express my opinions. Other times I don't. Just happens that when I do, they come out all at once, most of the time.

Issues with feminism: the extremist ones that ruin the ideology faster than incompetent politicians can ruin countries.

I think one of the main issues of feminism is that the Internet has allowed us to hear more about the vocal extremists. That drives people away and taints the whole ideology when an average web user keeps thinking of the terrible feminists instead of the actual good ones. I hear far less about the good feminists that are fighting for equality in somewhere where women seriously need help compared to the #killallmen people. I wish people actually let the bad ones rage in a corner alone and start talking about the actual good ones. That might not be feminism's own fault but I think it would be far better for the movement to distance themselves from the bad supporters that make people shy away from supporting the whole ideology by its name.
