I good sniper can pick off a swordsman at a 1000 yards and he will never even hear the shot. There is a reason swords aren't used in combat anymore

In games and stuff, I never go ranged. It's boring. Melee was always funner.

In real life, even though I have swords and a collection I maintain fastidiously, I'd probably choose a gun in a dangerous situation.

Yeah ideally a lot of us would like to be honorable swordsmen but in more real life situations it's knowing how to properly use a gun that is more practical

Swords are pretty deadly, but it's way easier to use one-handed ones with shorter blades, like gladius or wakizashi. I love katana but cutting with two hands doesn't come as easily to me and I'm too weak to use one effectively with one hand. It's easier for me to let the weight of the sword do its work, like it's supposed to, when I'm swinging with one hand. The longer and heavier a sword is, the less it's like an ordinary knife and the more training you have to do to wield it.

Guns have the advantage of range and ease of use, and they do the same damage regardless of whether your attacker is right in your face or 30 feet away. You don't have to exert yourself or get into a dangerous range.

First one looks nice but I can't imagine cutting with that grip. Maybe thrusting?

The last two look awful. They are probably both impossible to aim, fire tiny, puny bullets, and easily broken on impact. Especially the Nambu since the Apache can pretty much only stab lol

Assuming you can kill him fast and penetrated the armor. And if somebody jump in a group of soldiers. The dude with the sword will kill a lot of them before they get the chance to shoot. This is why no matter how strong a tank is, once people get up and personal, they lose utmost always.

Just watch Gate and see how well a army armed with swords and spears does against a modern military force armed with tanks arty and attack helicopters. plus 7.62 rifles. Here is a hint Not very well

Those are normal men. And you are putting an army fighting another who using weapon they never have to deal with. Also those are range weapon. But if somebody is standing next to you with a sword and uses guerrilla statics. Your gun mean nothing. Just ask the Viet Cong and the USA what happen when you think guns make you invincible. No to mention during world war 2 Japanese soldiers kill dozens of USA soldiers with a KATANA. Their guns amounted to nothing. Your gun is only effective if you know where the enemy is. Otherwise you are fuck.
