I was a huge fan of Naruto, even though it had so many ups and downs, excessive flashbacks and fillers but I stuck with it because the positives outweighted the bad. But after watching some of the great ninja war arc, I completely lost interest, the quality of the episodes went way down imo. That was around 2 years ago though, so has the anime picked up since then?

There are some good episodes, but at this point you might as well should just wait until the series ends. You'll only end up hitting another bad filler wall if you start now.

Ohh I see, maybe I will wait until the anime concludes. Without any spoilers how far is Naruto from ending?

It's so close, SO CLOSE. If they stuck with the canon, probably 10-13 episodes. But they're going to stretch out this retarded filler arc as long as they can.

They're milking this cow until it literally cannot produce milk anymore.

If you like Fillers then yes, if not then no.

I'm up-to-date with it and will finish it, but I have to say, there are a ton of fillers awaiting you.
If you can get through those you'll have a good time, because the Canon material is pretty epic.

At this point I'm not even going to be surprised if it gets stretched another year. They've mishandled the anime so badly for the last couple years, it should be criminal.

Wow I didn't imagine it was so close to ending, I think I will watch all the canon episodes and skip the fillers. It's pathetic that they are milking Naruto so much, before they always had the excuse to maker fillers because they caught up to the manga but now as the manga has concluded they have no excuses.

I think you should now that Naruto Shippuden came to an end (in the manga).

I am an avid Naruto fan myself. I used to watch the anime, but stopped way back (sometime before when Asuma died) because I didn't want to deal with fillers. I would recommend the same honestly. The manga ended nearly a year ago, so you could finish the story at your own pace. You could go through the manga to get the rest of the story done and wait for the anime to finish then watch the interesting fights on YouTube or something. Also, if you into Naruto like I am, I would recommend reading some fanfiction because some people do a great job of making up stories. Naruto: Potential Realised and Better Left Unsaid are good ones.

Ya, just google which episodes are the canon episodes and I'd say once you catch up with the anime, just read the end of the manga. Finish it so you can watch the Naruto: The Last and Boruto with no worries.

Thanks for the recommendation, I have never read any Naruto fanfictions before but I will look into it.

I think I will follow your advice! I heard the Last Naruto movie and Boruto are great so I will definitely check them out once I'm done catching up with the anime.
