I've noticed this before. Crunchyroll doesn't always have all the anime that comes out every season. I was surprised that popular anime like Tokyo ghoul, gangsta and the current one punch man are not on CR. why?

PS. also why does crunchyroll not have any 18+ anime like black lagoon and psycho-pass?

Because Crunchyroll probably don't have the budget to license every single show every season.

I feel the library on Crunchyroll would be better if 50% of it wasn't bad harem anime.

I've moved this to Site Support/ Minor Questions.

Crunchyroll negotiates to get the license to stream the shows they have and even though they put in a bid on everything, if someone else gets an exclusive license for something, or Crunchy isn't able to reach an agreement with the licensor (it's not just a matter of money), they can't just show the show. Crunchyroll does actually have a license for Gangsta--just not in all languages/regions (including English/North America--Funimation has the rights for those).

There's actually quite a bit of 18+ content. Heck, there are some that I'm embarrassed to watch even as a 44-year-old. (^_~)

It might be good to check your mature content settings:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video (2nd option), and

Considering how many times these issues are asked, in threads after threads time after time, it might perhaps be an idea to create some kind of a sticky on the topic for explanation, ie why show x isn't available in region y. Would probably make even the mods' jobs somewhat easier...

A list of common reasons why a particular show might not be available in specific regions on Crunchy(license doesn't cover a region, etc), or at all(older shows, expired licenses, exclusives to other streaming services, etc). That sort of thing, perhaps pointing them to other legal streaming sites that may have what they are looking for in their area(though this might be construed as helping a competitor?...)

This issue isn't particularly embarrassing most of the time, but making any topic sticky would beg the question of why threads for more-common problems aren't stickied. And some of those problems (poor security, unauthorized charges, freezing/stuttering, apps not working, etc) are really embarrassing.

It's been a while, but I believe the last time someone asked why common problems aren't stickied or at least grouped together, the official answer was that the devs and tech support team want to leave all of the individual threads about the same problem separated so that they get a better feel for how common the problems are.

There are two big problems with the credibility of this theory: 1) Frequency of threads isn't nearly as probative as the frequency of individual posters. 2) It might be that this has changed over time, but I'm fairly sure I've literally never seen one of them respond to any comment thread about technical issues. That only leaves us to speculate on what the real reason is - and unfortunately, the most obvious possibility is "We don't want people to realize everyone else has the same problem, so we'll bank on most people being too busy to read more than one screen's worth of threads."

(To be fair, this is a lot better than what some companies do, i.e. delete criticism they don't want anyone else to hear. This can backfire spectacularly, but it doesn't keep it from happening.)

Although we do have stickies for some things, and some people use them and they are convenient to point people to, they also tend to get overlooked a lot anyway. Also, there is a Help/FAQ support page, accessible from the bottom of every Crunchyroll page. That link goes to https://crunchyroll.zendesk.com and a number of the questions that come up, including "Why don't you have [specific show]," are listed there with links to answers in the KnowledgeBase.
