What would you do if you found a wallet on the street?
Posted 10/18/15
I just came back from a run and along the way I found someone's wallet on the street. This guy had a lot of money on them. Personally I didn't want to go looking through the wallet but his ID was sandwich between cut up coupons so didn't have a choice there. I believe on doing the right thing even when no one is looking also karma is a BITCH. So I'm mailing his wallet back with everything in it.... What would you guys do?

Good answer but it doesn't have his phone number on it. Check that from the start.

You can google his name and address and hope you find a contact number... I wouldn't resort to mailing it since that takes time, money and days. And obviously if the address is in the neighborhood I would just drive there and return it -_-

I would take something, but I always remember "don't do to others what you don't want others do to you." It's a good thing.

I found one last week at the Library during work; Told the cops, and dropped it to them. Let them deal with it, its their job.

Didn't take anything, I didn't even open it >_<

My Auntie once picked it up and brought it to the police. The owners were found and tried to sue her for taking £20 out of it (which she didn't do) so I'm not touching that thing.

I work for UPS so mailing it to him next day air is only going to cost me $10. Also this guy from Oregon and I'm in Southern California.

Exactly if I lost my wallet I would appreciate the same in return, unfortunately not everyone is like that.

Ehhh I personally believe in karma, in 5th grade I saw a wallet with couple of hundred dollars bills on top of a certain seat in the park, took some of the money and left some, anyway I took 50$ since I really wasn't interested in money itself but rather what I currently wanted which was some food. Few days later a girl with sunglasses that seemed around 20-26 sat beside me without me noticing, she asked for the money I stole and after a short argument I` gave her the 50 dollars

she looked at me and said" Don't ever steal again, ok? for now I'll buy you anything you need but in exchange you should never do this again" she said this and hand and bought me some food"at this movement I felt really disgusted that I really cried while eating, cause if I hated anything in the world the most, it would be to be looked down upon, to get pitted by others. "She finished her meal and told me that she's leaving"anyway few days later, I asked my mom to give me money in exchange of doing some work for her, I did and it took around 3 days to earn the 50$, I went to the same park and saw the girl again and shoved the 50$ in her hands and simply left without saying anything, I didn't want to own anyone anything, and for that reason she came after me and patted my head saying "now you're a gentleman ." After that day I got to know her and she turned out to be my older sister's friend

So yeah, I would've just ignored that shit.
