I don't have a vast knowledge of politics but I thought this would bring out the thinkers out there. i'll keep this short. President Obama's terms have been somewhat weird. or I should say very boring. I really cant think of anything that sticks out. he got Bin Laden, he pulled out the troops, and he legalized gay marriage. I thought as the first black president it would of went a little different. I guess in the end he got to meet Ahmed the clock maker. actually he didnt

He also got the nobel peace prize for being black.

He was the first Nobel Prize winner to bomb another Nobel Prize winner.

That's one for the history books.

So far the best President I have seen since I have been alive. He wasn't the best but just better than the rest. And he was a down to earth guy who would meet and greet people on the streets outside the white house, thats a first in president history too.

The good: Healthcare reform, normalized relations with Cuba, Iran nuclear deal, climate change agreement with China, Near-total ban on ivory trade.

The bad: NSA scandal, drones, still won't pull out of Afghanistan

Overall, I think the good outweighs the bad

He is far from perfect but he was the best we had at the time.

I used to think he was a Communist Muslim who wanted to persecute Christians in the USA.

I've seen every president from Reagan to Obama, and every one of them has been worse than the last one.

There's a reason I just stopped voting.

It seems like I'm endorsing a system that violates the rights of citizens and takes the lives of innocents in foreign lands if I vote for any of them.

He just went back on this promise last week and is going to extend the war.

he legalized gay marriage.

He didn't do anything. He was all talk and no action when it came to gay marriage. It was the Supreme Court that took action.

Yeah, the DOMA, legislation signed by Bill Clinton...

That was the SCotUS.

Same thing for honoring commitments to the tribes. The SCotUS ruled that it was required, Obama resisted, and over a year later when he finally complied with the ruling it was passed off as some great piece of progress he was instrumental in.

Healthcare reform? The only people that's working out for is the insurance companies and people who were already poor enough to qualify for MedicAid. Everyone else keeps seeing rate hikes, losing their physicians, and losing coverage for necessary things because they can't afford to keep their existing plans.

The bad has definitely outweighed the good.

I wouldn't say he was worse than Bush if it weren't for all his lies back in '08. At least Bush was honest about how he was screwing us, even if he did play on the climate of fear from '01 on to get it done, and didn't spend years blaming Congress when he had the majority to do pretty much anything for a full two years.

I personally think Obamacare is crap. Don't get me wrong, I am PRO-healthcare reform... but Obamacare is garbage. (would be glad to explain why, if anyone likes.)

He also gets a whole lot of credit for things that he shouldn't.

Bin Laden, gay marriage... the list goes on.

But, getting credit for things you didn't have anything to do with is basically how it works in a presidency, good and bad. Like how everyone loves Bill Clinton, because the 90s economy was awesome... but it was awesome due to policies put in place by Reagan, which were just starting to get the balls rolling. Too bad we didn't let them keep picking up speed.

Not saying Clinton was a bad president, either.... just had nothing to do with the economy in the 90s.

Not saying Obama is a bad president, either... but the only thing worthy of real praise is the fact that he became the first black president.

On the other side of that token, it's not like he's the worst president ever, as many seem to think.

Of course, that is mostly just my opinion, so take it or leave it.

Well thanks to the actions and inaction conducted by Obama and his Administration we will continue to be in a war in the Middle East and if we rapidly pull out like Iraq then we will be responsible for creating yet another power vacuum there and aiding to the rise of Islamic Extremist Organizations. Indirectly thanks to him "Islamophobia" is at an all time high as well as the backtracking on civil rights in America. Thanks to the individuals that he supports for example Eric Holder #blacklivesmatter is not a group for the equal treatment of blacks in america but rather for the decriminalization of criminals in America and incrimination of police officers doing their job. Thanks to Obama and his cabinet we as a nation can no longer say we don't negotiate with terrorist as thanks to Obama we handed over 5 key influential Extremist leaders back to Afghanistan for one traitor ( as a veteran I say Berghdahl needs to be executed). Thanks to Obama ISIS has full sphere of influence in Iraq and through his overly weak attempts at diplomacy has essentially allowed the Russians to drop forces in the Middle East. Thanks to Obama we had a massive military cut of both personnel and equipment and now thanks to this and the future cuts that he is still trying to enforce if we ever need to defend ourselves or an ally we will have to spend Billions to attempt to re arm the military. Thanks to Obama we will be reentering Iraq and has almost guaranteed a conflict between Iran and Israel. Thanks to Obama Iran will have access to Nuclear Enriching Programs and will be allowed to do so. My opinion he might not be the worst President in U.S. history but he surely made the top 5. He also didn't legalize gay marriage lets get that straight the Supreme Court ruled against homosexuals being denied the right and privilege to marry. He also had absolutely not a damn thing to do with Bin Laden's raid except that he was POTUS at the time.

I can't say I'd be surprised if someone smarter than me made such a list, and he was on it.

Iran's almost certainly not getting a bomb with a scaled back nuclear program. And even if they somehow did, they're not going to attack Israel; they have too many other enemies who are much greater threats to them.
