Still quite a bit of growth to have 300,000 new paid subscribers within the space of a year(this number is global of course). For reference as the ANN article states, CR had 400,000 subscribers in November 2014.

So now North America is going to have a say in the production of anime? And boy, there is now a chance that CR will get a million premium member by 2017. That's crazy!

We might be entering a new era for the medium. Can't wait to see how everything goes.

I want to be a side character in one of the productions.

Will it be an incestuous anime based on everyone's favorite onii chan?

How does ANN have news about CR before CR has news about CR?

And yet it can't put out manga chapters on time...

The news is still neat though. Can't wait to bash whatever anime they co-produce. Though I do hope that whatever anime comes from this is decent enough.

Because CR doesn't disclose it until they have to disclose it. Business stuff I guess. It has been like that for a while now.

Other sites also reported the news and they got it from them.

As for this news, it could work out. By co-produce, I'm guessing they are doing a similar thing as Funimation? (when they announced to be involved with Dimension W during Summer)

What a terrifying notion.

How many titles were very popular in the US, but failed in Japan?

The market is becoming global. It was only a matter of time before global audiences started driving production decisions.

I'm kind of hoping for a survey to get an idea on what new or older properties international fans might be interested in seeing an Anime produced from, or even sequels / remakes to certain shows.

And how does any of that change anything I said?
