Is there anyone on here from a country outside the US who enjoys American football? Doesn't even have to be you, please let me know if you know someone who does.

Not trying to pick a fight or argument... I would just be interested in knowing what kind of audience the sport is getting outside the US.

Thanks for any comments.

To my knowledge I believe it has some popularity in the UK, also used to talk to someone who lived in Sweden and he was a huge fan. Don't know how many over there share his interest in the sport though.

When NFL highlights first aired in the UK, they deliberately used a host who didn't understand the game, so that viewers and the show could both learn together what the heck the game was about.

(What?? It's just Rugby with more rules!)

One of my coworkers is actually from the UK and from what she's told me it's gaining popularity over there. Sounds like soccer, rugby and cricket still have a pretty big advantage over it though. I know that for the past few seasons they've held at least one NFL game in London.

The NFL is determined to put a franchise in London, but I don't know that's a better indicator of the game's popularity in the UK or the league's stubbornness.

From my time in Europe... I can say it has a little popularity. Football (rest of the world's), rugby and cricket tend to outclass it overall though. There are some small American Football teams around the world though.

Me! I used to be a season ticket holder for The Scottish Claymores Team when there was a european league. I'm now an armchair supporter of the Seattle Hawks and the Baltimore Ravens and have been since before their latest Super Bowl wins lol. Baseball has my heart though when it comes to American Sport

Sport in general don't interest me. Unless I participate, it bores me.

Don't feel too bad. There's always a possible rematch in December.
