sad that everyone's all happy for the kitten being saved, but things nothing of large deer getting hit :P.

jk, im sure there are peeps who feel bad about deer :D.

This reminds me of the time I was doing deliveries this summer and rabbits were crossing the road, and I tried to slow down, but one of them just wasn't fast enough and got caught under my front right tire :(.

I guess this is pretty common with outdoor cats.

We had two barn kittens crawl up into the engine bay of the farrier's truck when he was over at our place. He left our place in his truck, and went to grab lunch at a BBQ joint about 10 miles away. When he came out, the two cats were just hanging out in front of his truck. He scooped them up, and brought them back to our place. Blew our friggin' minds.

Those cats were with us for almost 20 years after that. I have tons of great memories of those idiots.

Kitty!

Saw a guy guiding a duck across the street the other day too. Sometimes animals just get dumb in the road.

I recall saving a very young kitten under a car when I was a teen. I was on my way to school when I came across a car with two women who called for help. They were too scared to drive off because they'd been hearing some mewing. I got down and looked under the car and there was this tiny kitten eyes newly opened, most likely not weened trying to crawl around. I just scooped it up and assured the women that I'll take it the local animal rescue centre. It was half a mile from where I was so I walked there and handed the rescue people the kitten. I knew the place well because we'd previously gotten pet dogs and a kitten that age from there in the past. That detour made me late for school. I never explained why I was late or even bothered to tell my family what I'd been up to. I'd have kept it as a pet if we already didn't have 3 female pregnant cats, two dogs and a pet rat at home.

My sister, who lives with rescued or abandoned animals recently rescued a kitten that was hit by a car. The cat survived, but had one of its legs amputated by the vet. A friend of hers ended up adopting it.

I once saved an ant from being squashed on the footpath. Does my shoe maker send me any special packages? No.

Clearly those drivers are defenders of the puptriarcy. It's good that there are felinists to save the day.

But no in all seriousness, I didn't notice the kitten until it was pointed out.
