I see many single mothers that deserve this award much more than some dude on Estrogen pills and more plastic than a barbie doll.

im sure some feminists will be angry

That will be interesting if they are angry then they are transphobic. If they allow this then they are supporting misogyny.

One has already spoken against it

Honestly, I'd be fine with this if she were a woman for at least a year. Its been like 7 months or something, right?

Didn't she start the year as a man? So really the "Woman of the Year" started it as a man.

Can I take the third choice, and object to his/her misogyny? ("Caitlin"?? )

And I'm guessing this is "Woman of the Year" by Glamor standards, not by, say, Iranian or African women's-education activists, or some outdated non-diverse nonsense like that...

It's a rather transparent attempt to sell their magazine. There are far more deserving people out there, trans or not.

Yeah, somehow I think there is a family in California that is wondering why Caitlyn isn't behind bars for manslaughter.

Woman of the year, my ass, Caitlyn fucking killed someone this year.

And what exactly did she do to deserve that?

Probably along the same reasoning as Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I can't help but shake my head at how America has become.

oh wow, look at all the transphobia in here. color me not surprised.

also, lmao @ people saying Caitlyn has been a woman for less than a year. she was always a woman, transgender people don't just magically become their desired gender overnight they are always mentally that gender. kind of what makes us transgender.

while coming out as transgender was incredibly brave of Caitlyn I am not sure if she deserves woman of the year. Laverne Cox has done more for pioneering for trans rights than Caitlyn and I would much rather she win something like this. oh well though, so it goes.
