Just wondering if anyone keeps up with American comics.

From DC, my favorite reads are Justice League, Batman and Detective comics, grayson, Martian Manhunter, and green Lantern

From Marvel, I really like the Invincible Iron Man, uncanny Inhumans, secret wars, uncanny avengers, and amazing spiderman

The only series I have going from Marvel right now is Groot. Nothing on the DC side. And the one series that I just loved was from Archie and that's just had the last issue printed, which was MegaMan. So, now it's time to start tracking down all the back issues I need and wait for FCBD. Lol.

Sometimes I do. Movies are often misleading when it comes to character feats.

I plan on getting back into comics eventually. I use to be BIG on them around 12-14. Still have all of them on my book case in my room

I'm a DC girl. My favorite reads are Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Teen Titans. Though I love from Marvel - Thor, the X-Men and the Black Panther

batman... thats all,
oh and green lantern, but not hal jordan, he sucks.

Pref large scale events.
Love the one where death, famine, plauge and war was turned into huge mechas and started to attack.

I used to but after all the revamps and redos and alternate universes, I got confused.

I'll get back into it eventually but I just want a good place to start from.

In the movies all that seems to come out of studios is writers retconning preexisting material just so that they can earn more dough. So much it is rather confusing to keep up with all the changes, and not have the fiction spoiled for me. Some changes aren't so bad, or just more tolerable, It's going to happen regardless, with the ever tantalizing gamble that they will hit the money jackpot. WC, people will go see it. The comics and animations have been left more intact, and although reinventions happen they're hit more than miss.

I am more of a Marvel than Dc girl! I haven't been reading much newer stuff because I've been reading ultimate Spider-Man lately! But I'm about to start Secret Wars!

Marvel just took all their universes and combined them into one
Basically after their last big event all that exists is the main Earth universe (Earth 616 or something like that)

So the comics their publishing right now are a fairly good point for people to jump in head first, if you're interested

DC only. Marvel is too colorful and child like.
