Okay, so I have a dilemma. I have been with Crunchyroll for about 2 years now (I think, maybe more), I love using Crunchyroll for all the high quality anime I watch. There's been an issue lately though. I've upgraded to a Samsung 4K Smart TV back in June. I used to use the app on the TV until it got pulled down. Thankfully, I got Apple TV and a PS3 so I can still use the Crunchyroll app. Unfortunately, and this has been the issue with a lot of the animes I've been watching on Crunchyroll, the picture is kind of blurry. Take Hunter X Hunter for example. It's available in high def on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. Because of the blur on the Crunchyroll app on both the PS3 and Apple TV versions, I have switched over to watching it on Netflix, but Netflix subtitles aren't as high quality or appealing as Crunchyroll subtitles and they don't have all the episodes. The quality is significantly better on Netflix than it is on both PS3 and Apple TV Crunchyrolls. I tested this by using the Multi Screen feature on my TV and streamed the Apple TV and Netflix HxH and the Netflix one looked better. so I decided to do another test. Instead of using Netflix, I went to the Samsung TV Web Browser and went to the Crunchyroll HxH on the Web Browser and the Apple TV Crunchyroll app. The Web Browser Crunchyroll one looked the same as the Netflix one and still better than the Apple TV and PS3 Crunchyroll. So problem solved, right? Nope. The Web Browser Crunchyroll, although better in quality than the app counterpart and rivals that of Netflix, doesn't display the subtitles. So I was wondering if there is any way for me to be able to still view HxH in high quality with subtitles on Crunchyroll? The apps are blurry but have subtitles, but the web browser displays it in high quality without subtitles.

Are the Apple TV and PS3 with a wireless or wired connection?

How are you connecting the devices? Are you letting the TV scale the image?

What do you mean by scaling the image?

What I meant: Is everything connected via HDMI? Are you zooming or cropping any parts of the image with your TV?

Everything is connected through a 4K HDMI, and no, I'm not zooming in on any of them.
