I'm surprised there's no topic about one of the most well known horror manga artist this close to Halloween.

Junji Ito (伊藤 潤二 Itō Junji?, born July 31, 1963) is a Japanese horror manga artist. Some of his most notable works include Tomie, a series chronicling an immortal girl who drives her stricken admirers to madness, Uzumaki, a three-volume series about a town obsessed with spirals, and Gyo, a two-volume story where fish are controlled by a strain of sentient bacteria called "the death stench." His other works are Itou Junji Kyoufu Manga Collection, a collection of different short stories with the occasional appearance of a certain character named Souichiro and his family, and Itou Junji No Neko Nikki: Yon and Mu, a light-hearted story about moving in a new house with his cats.

Figured I'd try to get a discussion going.

I'm interested in reading Uzumaki, its something to do with a town been taken over by spirals i think?
I haven't read any of his manga yet, but i heard that he was going to be involved in the Silent Hills game and judging from some artwork iv'e seen it would have been really creepy.
I have seen the Gyo anime though. It was very...different.

I was listening to Guillermo del Toro talk about him the other day. I think I'm going to try some of his work out. Any recommendations?

Although I haven't read it myself, many seen to like Uzumaki. My personal favorites are Black Paradox and Long Sleep (long sleep will only take you about 10-15 minutes to finish)
